There are many NPCs you can speak with that will affect the story of your character. Choosing to interact with these characters further cements yourself into the Light or the Dark as you progress in the game.
However, you don’t have to worry about every character being an indication of where you stand in the game. Some NPCs just have side quests for you to do go get rewards as you paly the game.
In this guide, we are going to show you how to complete the Follow the Butterflies side quest in Hogwarts Legacy.
Hogwarts Legacy – Follow the Butterflies Quest Guide
Step 1: Go to Hogsmeade and Talk to Clementine Willardsey
Your first objective before doing anything else is to talk to Clementine Willardsey in the Three Broomstikcs in Hogsmeade.
She will tell you about the swarm of butterflies that is going around.
Step 2: Go to the Forbidden Forest
After talking to Clementine, head to the Forbidden Forest to start your search for the butterflies.
At the Forbidden Forest, look for a swarm of red butterflies. They will be flying around the area while you follow them.
Don’t lose sight of them or else you’ll have to start from the beginning. Don’t worry though, as they don’t move too fast. They can easily be caught up to.
Eventually, the butterflies will lead you to a chest in the middle of the forest. Approach it and open the chest to get your rewards. However, the quest is not done yet.
Step 3: Go Back to the Three Broomsticks and Talk to Clementine
Talk to Clementine again and you will get a brief conversation of what happened. Then, the side quest will finish as soon as the conversation does.
