The roster of killers continues to grow and we now have a new one in the form of Noli. There seems to be a lot of mixed opinions on whether he is good or not by the community. We believe that he can be effective provided that you play him right. So, in this guide, we’ll be looking at all his abilities and how you can utilize them to do the most with him. Without further delay, let’s dive into this killer.

Nova Ability

Starting off, we have Noli’s Nova ability. This ability allows him to throw a Voidstar as a projectile, which generates a big explosion when it lands. Another great thing about this ability is that if you throw it near a survivor, it can suck them in.

This makes this ability very useful for situations where there are a lot of survivors near you – allowing you to get at least a bit of melee damage on all of them.

One situation where you can use this ability is for Hazards. You can use the ability to pull survivors from things that might help them, such as Pizza. The trick is to aim the ability at a Pizza when the survivor is near it, pulling them away from it.

However, use this only when the Survivor is at least at 20% health when they’re trying to heal. Otherwise this ability won’t really help you much.

You can also use the Nova to know if you hit anything. If you throw it and the Voidstar appears back in your hand, it means that it did not hit anything – which serves as useful intel.

Another great utility of the Nova move is that you can actually cause it to explode early using the E key. You can do this even when the Voidstar is in mid air – allowing you more control with this ability.

Keep in mind that the explosion radius will be smaller if you use it this way. Nonetheless, a useful move to have in your arsenal especially when you need the ability to work quickly.

We recommend that you use this ability only for chases and not for damaging people. This is because it does only 15 damage and chances are you might miss them anyway unless you explode it early.

The best way is to use it to slow down Survivors and quickly try to stab them.

Prankster Passive

The Prankster passive allows Noli to spawn two extra fake generators in any place where the generator could have spawned but didn’t. These fake generators give no extra points or progress.

Completing a fake generator grants one Hallucination stack while completing one fully grants Hallucination III instantly. We’ll go over the Hallucination passive in detail in the next section.

Dealing with this fake generators is annoying but there is an easy way to tell whether the generator is fake or not. You can do this by looking at the top of the generator.

Here, you should be able to make out a very bare silhouette of his face. On top of that, the generator will also show minor visual and sound glitches. With some experience, you should get used to differentiating it.

Hallucinations Passive

Many of Noli’s moves inflict Hallucination stacks on survivors, with there being three Hallucination effects. Here is a breakdown of all of them:

  • Hallucination I
    • Survivor’s timer becomes unreadable
    • Aura Color: Light Purple
  • Hallucination II
    • Fake healing objects such as a pizza or dispenser spawn to distract survivors
    • Aura Color: Purple
  • Hallucination III
    • A Fake version of Noli appears that attacks the player but does no damage
    • Fake Nolis sprint for survivors immediately, allowing you to differentiate them from a normal walking Noli
    • Aura Color: Dark Purple

Noli can easily tell which survivors have how many stacks on them by looking at the color of the aura on survivors. Additionally, Noli can also see the aura of survivors with any level of Hallucination.

When Noli damages a survivor, they lose all their stacks.

The best way to deal with fake Nolis are a survivor is to damage them – meaning you will need to play as a Sentinel. In that case, you might also find our sentinel survivor guide useful if you want to include it in your skillset.

To tell whether the Hallucination has cleared as a survivor, an animation of Noli’s head will appearing. This signals that you are in the clear!

Observant Ability

When you spawn into a match as Noli, you will not have access to the Observant ability for 25 seconds. After the cooldown, you can use R to activate it allowing you to see all the generators – where you can actually choose to teleport.

Once you teleport to the generator, you can actually see the aura of survivors around you. This is because it can inflict varying levels of Hallucination depending on the distance they are from your generator.

Survivors more than 20/50/100 studs away receive Hallucination I/II/III respectively. When you use the teleport, the cooldown is 30 seconds.

This ability has a windup of 1.5 seconds, during which Noli can actually get stunned. However, after teleportation, he receives stun immunity so that Sentinels do not camp generators.

However, there is a trick that you can use to fool survivors. You can use R to start the ability but then cancel it with R again. This will make Survivors think you’re about to teleport and they might change their tactics accordingly.

You could even bait a Sentinel into coming close to you with the Observant animation, allowing you to get a hit on them. Remember Noli is a killer all about mind games, so you want to use as many tricks you can!

Void Rush Ability

Lastly, we have Noli’s final and best ability, Void Rush. Something that a lot of people get confused about is actually using the ability. If you didn’t know, you actually need to hold Q instead of simply tapping it to use it.

This enables you to actually trick players by going into the animation but canceling the hold before the ability fully loads. It works really well against Guests, who might think you’re about to hit them and try to block.

Once you’ve baited their block out, you can damage them.

Void Rush also has a really big hitbox that you can use to your advantage. If there is a Survivor hiding behind a wall, you can actually this ability to damage them.

So, if you see a Survivor go around the corner or go to common hiding spots, Void Rush can be used to catch them out.

The great thing about Void Rush is that if you manage to land it, you can actually perform another rush right after. This can be used to hit the same survivor again, or actually hit another Survivor – potentially causing a chain reaction of Void Rushes.

Of course, you can only do a combo when you hit Survivors that do not have Hallucination II or higher – as you’ll end up doing a slam otherwise. Hitting a Survivor with Void Rush deals 10 damage and also inflicts Hallucination II on them.

This means that when you hit a survivor with Hallucination II or higher with a Void Rush, you deal 10 damage and also slam them to the ground. This slam does 30 damage with the entire hit overall dealing 40 damage.

So, if you manage to hit a survivor with two dashes in a row – you can potentially deal 50 damage to them. However, we do encourage that you experiment with combos so you can maximize your damage output and end the combo with a slam for maximum effect!

Final Advice

That’s everything you need to know about how to use Noli in Forsaken. He is not an easy killer to use at all – as he requires an insane amount of skill and experience to master. But his abilities are incredibly creative – allowing you to experiment and pull off some insanely satisfying combos. You should try to trick your opponents as much as possible since mind games is where Noli thrives. With some time and experience, you should be able to master him!
