How to Upgrade Your Heroes
Heroes have various roles and skills in Frozen City. They manage buildings and materials; they even fight and do adventures. You must level and upgrade them to make them stronger and more productive The maximum level your Hero can attain is Level 150.
So, how do you upgrade them? In order to upgrade and add stars to your Hero, you will need the following:
- Wishing Stars: a common item, you can get them from chests, idle rewards, events and battle modes.
- Blazing Stars: one of the rarest items in the game, they are required for increasing the level cap of heroes. They can be obtained from chests, special packs, events, adventure and by buying gems.
- Rare or Epic Hero Cards: to upgrade heroes, you’ll need copies of their hero card, you can get them from chests, special packs and events.
- Gems: Gems are basically one of the main resources in the game; they are used to purchase resources, recruit heroes, skip waiting time and many more. They can be obtained via tasks, events, and the Shop.
Here are four steps on how to make your heroes stronger:
Step 1: Unlock & Choose Your Hero
To level up a Hero, you must unlock one first. Buildings in the game have specific Heroes attached to them. Check the facilities you need to upgrade the most. Pick the Hero you need the most in the current city you’re playing.
Step 2: Level Up Your Hero
To upgrade your Hero, you will need Wishing Stars. Open the Hero Tab, and you will see the Upgrade button. Click it ten times until you reach the Level Cap.
Step 3: Add Star to Your Hero
Each upgrade allows you to level up your Hero ten times. After that, you will need additional Hero Cards and Blazing Stars to level your character further.
Step 4: Use Gems to Upgrade Your Hero
Sometimes you’ll find it almost impossible to obtain the materials instantly. That is when it’s an option to use your Gems. You can buy the missing materials by clicking the Upgrade button.
A pop-up will show “Not enough resources” in the top left corner, plus the missing resources. Just click the Ok button, and you’re good to go. Just remember to check if you have enough Gems to buy the materials.

- Boost Your Heroes’ Stats: You must upgrade your Heroes in preparation for battle. Their Attack, Defense, and HP will increase, which will significantly help to withstand matches.
