Genshin Impact: All 13 Strange Parts Locations

Genshin Impact received another huge update that gives the fans a lot of new content that many can appreciate and enjoy. Always wanted to dive under the water and explore the sea life? Well, now you can! But that’s not all you can do in this brand new update.

There seems to be a lot of strange parts that are scattered all over this new location, and they can all be collected if you can find them. In this guide, I will show you where you can find all of the Strange Parts in Genshin Impact.

All 13 Strange Parts Locations

Before we get started, you first have to understand that these Strange Parts are located everywhere in Fontaine, which is the new location in Genshin Impact. Not only is it scattered all over the new area, but you will have to find them by either looking for chests or doing quests.

Strange Part Location 1 (A Brush of Seafoam and Crimson Quest)

The first Strange Part you can find is during the A Brush of Seafoam and Crimson quest. Go to this location on the map to get to the NPC with the quest.

When you get to the location, approach the NPC and the quest will automatically start.

Strange Part Location 2 (Hey This Isn’t Pumpkin Soup Quest)

The next Strange Part you can find is another quest called Hey This Isn’t Pumpkin Soup. You can find the quest location right here in the Merusea Village.

Approach Verenata and talk to her to start the quest.

Strange Part Location 3 (The Lone Phantom Sail Quest)

The next Strange Part is from The Lone Phantom Sail quest, which can be found in “A Lonely Place” in Fontaine.

Speak to Ahes to start the quest and complete it to get the Strange Part.

Strange Part Location 4 (Cosanzeana Hidden Flowers Quest)

Back in Merusea Village, there is a quest there that is hidden. You can easily miss this quest if you don’t speak to the NPC named Cosanzeana.

When you approach Cosanzeana, talk to her and she will tell you that she is having a hard time trying to grow flowers.

When speaking to her, she will ask what kind of flower you will be willing to bring to her. Select the Sumeru Rose option.

Once the flowers are planted, select a Hydro character and press the attack button to water the plants. Afterwards, Cosanzeana will give you a Strange Part as a reward for completing the hidden quest.

Strange Part Location 5 (Echoes of the Ancient World Quest)

In Merusea Village again, there is the Echoes of the Ancient World quest that you can get from Verenata.

Speak to Verenata to get the quest and complete it in order to get the Strange Part from the quest rewards.

Strange Part Location 6 (Book of Esoteric Revelations Quest)

In Merusea Village, you can find a hidden quest called the Book of Esoteric Revelations. It’s easy to miss, as there is no quest marker for this one.

In the village, go to the small waterfall and you will find an NPC standing on the rocks in the middle. Talk to the NPC to get the quest started, then complete it to get the Strange Part.

Strange Part Location 7 (Fishing Game Quest)

There is another hidden quest in Merusea Village, and this one involves fishing.

Behind the village, there is an NPC named Iara that is fishing with a fishing rod. Approach the NPC and talk to her to get the fishing quest started.

Strange Part Location 8 (Strange Stone Chronicle Part 2 Quest)

In the “A Very Bright Place” location on the map, there is a quest there called the Strange Stone Chronicle Part 2. As it says, it is the second part of the Strange Stone Chronicle quest, so you will need to complete that before doing this one.

Once you finish part 1, go to the location and look for an NPC named Puca to start part 2, then complete the quest to get the Strange Part item.

Strange Part Location 9 (The Three Primary Colors of the Solar Corona Quest)

Back in Merusea Village, there is a hidden quest called The Three Primary Colors of the Solar Corona.

In the village, there is an NPC called Sluasi that will give you the quest. The quest involves getting items that have the colors that is being asked. Here are the colors Sluasi will ask, as well as the items you can present to them:

• “Closest to the sun in color“ – Berry
• “Something white“ – Qingxin
• “If I see something black“ – Iron Chunk

Take note that there are more than one answers to what Sluasi is asking for, so you can present other items that are not greyed out. Once you answer the last question, you will be rewarded with a Strange Part.

Strange Part Location 10 (Merusea Village Chest)

Now that we’re done with the quests that contains Strange Parts, we can move on to the Strange Parts that are in chests. The first one is easy, as it is located in Merusea Vilalge.

When you get to the location marked on the map, you will find the chest locked. You will need to unlock it first by doing the following.

Approach the Echoing Conch and activate it to begin the process to unlock the chest.

There are several echoes located around the area that you will have to approach and investigate. They are easy to find and won’t require too much effort.

When you investigate the last echo, an enemy will spawn. Defeat the enemy once it does.

Once the enemy is defeated, the chest will automatically unlock. Open the chest and you will get the Strange Part along with other rewards.

Strange Part Location 11 (A Very Warm Place Chest)

The next chest has a prerequisite before it can be opened. You will need to complete the Book of Esoteric Revelations quest. Once done, head to this location on “A Very Warm Place”.

The chest is pass Canotila and the Book of Revealing. There is another cave that has the chest. Go there and open it to get the Strange Part.

Strange Part Location 12 (A Lonely Place Chest Part 1)

The next chest can be found in “A Lonely Place”.

This one will require some climbing, as you need to climb up the large structure in the middle.

You can find the chest that contains the Strange Part here. Remember to carry a lot of stamina items, as you might need it.

Strange Part Location 13 (A Lonely Place Chest Part 2)

The last chest can be found in the same room as the last chest, but you will need to do something else in order to open it.

This chest is locked, and you will need to unlock it by destroying the red casing around the Water Volume Detection Crystal.

To destroy it, you will need to align yourself behind this red structure that spews out attacks that destroys the red casing.

Once it is destroyed, head back to the middle of all three Water Detection Crystals and stand there until the chest unlocks. Once it does, open it and you will get the last Strange Part.
