With the new update 5.2 released on Genshin Impact, there are plenty more World Quests to engage in. One of the major ones is the one where you’ll need to bring 4 Firestones back to the Altar as part of the legendary Tonatiuh quests.
If you’re struggling to find or get all of the Firestones, we’ve got you sorted out! In this guide, we’ll be going over how you can get all of the 4 firestones and solve the puzzles guarding them. Let’s dive into it!
All 4 Bring the Firestone Back to Altar
Keep in mind that you’ll need to have completed the Lost Traveler In The Ashen Realm quest to be able to unlock this quest, The Other Side Of The Sky quest. This is because this quest is actually the one that leads you to the Tonatiuh.
With that said, here is how you can get all 4 firestones.
Firestone Location #1
The first firestone can be acquired automatically towards the end of The Other Side Of The Sky quest. This is when you reach the altar in the middle of the Tonatiuh. Some players can get confused here but you acquire the firestone during the cutscene that plays out with Bona.
From there, you’ll need to obtain the other firestones by going to the floating islands around the altar. There are four mechanisms all around the altar that you can interact with to move the floating isle.
Firestone Location #2
For the next firestone, you’ll need to head to the section of the Tonatiuh shown in the map below.
However, before you can head here, you’ll need to interact with the floating isle mechanism in this direction. If done correctly, a bridge will appear here.
Cross the bridge and interact with the lift to raise it up.
After that, you want to head up the small set of stairs. Here, you’ll come across a locked door that you can interact with. Looking inside, you can see that the little Tepetlisaurus has already acquired the firestone. Now all you need to do is open the door.
To do this, head towards the right side path and you’ll come across a switch. Press start so you can arrange the platforms in order and climb to the top.
From there, you want to parkour all the way up as shown below.
But before you can do that, a Secret Source enemy will appear that you need to defeat. You will not be able to progress ahead as the switch will be locked until it is killed.
After you defeat this enemy, head all the way up and interact with the switch there. This will open the locked grate that is above the Tepetlisaurus.
From here, drop down below and you’ll find yourself right in front of the Tepetlisaurus.
Before you interact with him, make sure to open the locked door. Otherwise, you will not be able to proceed. Once the locked door is open using the switch, interact with the Tepetlisaurus and he will go back to the altar.
Here, he’ll place the second firestone in the altar automatically.
Firestone Location #3
For the third firestone in Genshin Impact, you’ll be making your way to another section of the floating isle. This is shown in the map below.
As before, you’ll need to interact with the floating isle mechanism in this direction until a bridge appears. After that, cross the bridge.
You’ll see the firestone right across from here. But as you approach it, there will be a cutscene where the Secret Source Sentinel will steal the Firestone.
To be able to get to this firestone, you’ll need to interact with the orange marker nearby. This will allow you to transform and fly.
After that, fly in the direction that is shown below.
Once you reach here, interact with the switch at the entrance to the building. Next, head inside and interact with the other switch here. This will allow the lift to start moving below.
When the lift reaches the bottom, transform into the bird again so that you can fly. After that, fly towards the ledge that’s shown on the map.
From this ledge, simply follow the path ahead. This path will wind around a bit but just keep going ahead. Eventually, you’ll come across the Firestone and your trusty Tepetlisaurus will grab it for you.
Next, interact with the switch so that you can get the lift moving up. When the lift reaches the top, the door will also open automatically.
Go through this door and you’ll see a moving platform ahead. However, before you proceed, make sure to interact with the Tepetlisaurus and get it moving towards the altar. Follow your buddy closely as you reach the platform and it’ll start moving.
Finally, you’ll come across another switch after a brief cutscene with Bona. Interact with the switch so that you can get the bridge to line up with the altar. Interact with the Tepetlisaurus so that it can go to the altar.
Here, it will deposit the third Firestone automatically at the Altar. Just one more to go! Don’t transform from your fire bird form though, as you’ll need it to fly to the next Firestone.
Firestone Location #4
Once the Firestone is deposited, you’ll need to head to the same direction of the floating isle as you did before. However, this time, you’ll need to go to the upper section which is above.
To get here, you’ll need to fly all the way up. If you’re already in bird form, you’ll be able to fly up here with ease.
In case you transform back from it, you’ll need to drop down to the same section of the isle where you went for the third firestone. Here, you can transform into the fire bird and fly back up.
Once you’ve flown up, you should see the final firestone. The Tepetlisaurus will grab the firestone again and all you need to do is interact with it.
However, when you do so, it will summon another Secret Source enemy. So, you will need to defeat it again.
After you’ve defeated the enemy, interact with the switch ahead to turn on the bridge. But this bridge is too low for the Tepetlisaurus to cross.
So, you will need to drop down and interact with the lift at the bottom to raise it. After you’ve done that, go back to the Tepetlisaurus and interact with it. Now, it will be able to go to the Altar where it will deposit the fourth firestone.
To complete the quest, go up to the Altar to interact with it so that you can begin the offering.
