Find The Three People Who Are Trapped Guide (The Funeral Parlor Has No Master, Yujing Terrace Calls the Troops)

In this quest, you’ll use Xiao’s unique ability to navigate a spooky dungeon, dispel mysterious “fetor,” and save Hu Tao, Qiqi, and Lan Yan from the border between life and death. Along the way, you’ll tackle puzzles and chase down some mischievous Rattan Figures. Like I said, I’m here to guide you through every step and show you directions, so you won’t have a have a hard time finding them!

Use Xiao’s Ability to Look for Anything Unusual

How Xiao’s Ability Works

Xiao’s ability acts a bit like Elemental Sight. When you activate it, you’ll see trails of blue and black smoke representing “fetor,” which leads to important areas. On PC, press “T” to activate his ability. For console or mobile, simply tap the corresponding button in your controls. Once you see the fetor trails, follow them closely to your next objective.

Tip: The fetor trails can be tricky to spot in darker areas. Adjust your brightness settings if needed or take a second look around the room.

Attack the Fetor Node to Dispel the Fetor

The Fetor Node is a broken pillar surrounded by swirling blue-black fog. Use normal attacks to dispel the fetor and clear the area. Once the fetor is gone, a Rattan Figure will appear.

Tip: The nodes usually aren’t too far from the fetor trails. If you’re unsure where to go, just follow the smoke, and you’ll stumble upon it.

Catch the Rattan Figures

Here comes the fun (and mildly frustrating) part! Once you’ve dispelled a Fetor Node, a Rattan Figure will pop out and lead you on a merry chase. Follow it carefully and catch it when it stops.

How to Catch All Rattan Figures

  • Rattan Figure 1: After dispelling the fetor, the first Rattan Figure will hide behind the wall to your left. Catch it and follow it to the lantern by the central tree.
  • Rattan Figure 2: The second figure likes to fly around a boulder. Since climbing isn’t allowed in this domain, you’ll need to jump up the sloped side of the boulder to reach it.
  • Rattan Figure 3: The third figure is the trickiest! First, it’ll hide in a corner to the left of the path, then between a statue and the tree roots, and finally among bushes and a mushroom. Stay patient, and it’ll eventually lead you to the final location.

Tip: Use Xiao’s ability frequently during this stage to track down the fetor trails and find hiding spots faster.

Wrapping Up

During this stage, you’ll unlock two chests with the following loot:

  • Primogems ×5
  • Geo Sigil ×5
  • Enhancement Ore
  • Mora
  • Random Weapons and Artifacts

Not bad for a day’s adventuring, right? I hope my guide helped you navigate the mysterious dungeon and complete the “Find the Three People Who Are Trapped” objective in “The Funeral Parlor Has No Master, Yujing Terrace Calls the Troops” quest of Genshin Impact 5.3.
