Not all quests are easy to find in Genshin impact. A few will be hidden away and will require a bit of extra time or effort to go to, like the Fishing Game in the new region of Fontaine. You won’t find it anytime soon unless you stumble upon the place by accident since it’s a hidden quest.

But today, we’ll be showing you where the quest is and who you’ll need to talk to. We’ll also tell you what you need to do during the quest in greater detail in the guide below!

You can start the quest by talking to Iara in Merusea Village, the village can be found on the southwest corner of the Fontaine region. To get to the village, you can dive in the lake north of the Statue of Seven waypoint.

Talk to Iara and help her spread the bait around the lake. There’s only one location available for you to place the bait and it’ll be marked by a yellow waypoint. This location will be right in front of Iara.

After placing down the bait, a Ball Octopus will appear and you will have to defeat it. Talk to Iara again once you’re done playing with your food to get your quest rewards. Don’t forget to claim the reputation you get from your tasks when you finish them as well!

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
