Genshin Impact fix Underwater pipelines near Fortress of Meropide

You have to fix the underwater pipelines for “Our Purpose Is In Another Canal” World Quest in Genshin Impact per Balent’s request this time. The pipelines near the Fortress of Meropide need some maintenance but with no proper diving suits, a mortal can’t just dive in. We’re going to guide you through this section of the quest and make sure you get the job done.

Fix the Underwater Pipelines Near the Fortress of Meropide

Balent shares you tips on how to finish the quest. Before diving in, you can always ask him again about the details and to summarize:

  • Identify gas leaks.
  • Control the flow by adjusting the regulator valve, temporarily stopping the gas leak.
  • When rotating the handwheel, you must keep an eye on the gas flow volume. If it is decreasing, then you are on the right track.

There are four areas that need your attention. We start from the topmost area to the west. Below the leaking pipe, you will find the necessary part inside the Fontemer Seagrass.

Use the nearby Hunter Ray’s ability to cut them down, grab the Handwheel and install it.

Genshin Impact Fix the Underwater Pipelines locations

You need to keep turning the valve until the flow decreases and then stops. With that said, Paimon will also tell you when you’ve got it right and the valve cannot be turned once you’re done. So, there’s no harm in just spamming turn until you can’t.

Genshin Impact Fix the Underwater Pipelines handwheel location

Next up, teleport to the southermost pipeline. It’ll be guarded by two Mekas you need to take out. The pipeline here has instead two Handwheels.

Both has to be on the right position before the leak stops, so you can’t just spam them. The Handwheel above should face south and the Handwheel below should face west.

Then move north to the next location. Here, you’ll see Red Minies blocking the viewfinder. Use the nearby Jellyfish’s ability to break both at the same time.

One of them has an Ousia Block you can use to power up the Pneuma Terminal. Use the viewfinder to transfer the energy into the other one and voila, you get your chest!

This isn’t particularly necessary, but the Meanie is right in front of the Handwheel you need to interact with.

Once you do, now you can work on the two Handwheels to stop the gas leak. The Handwheel above should face south and the one below should face north.

Finally, to the pipe the closest to the Fortress of Meropide. This one is easy as you just keep turning it until it faces south. No monsters or traps nearby to be worried about.

That’s how you “Fix the Underwater Pipelines Near the Fortress of Meropide” in Genshin Impact.
