The Local Legends are unique miniboss enemies found in Fontaine and Liyue of Genshin Impact. With the release of Update 4.4, a new local legend was added to the Liyue section of the game. In this guide, we are going to show you the location of Liyue’s new local legend.

Liyue Local Legend
In order to find the new Local Legends for Liyue in Genshin Impact, you should travel to Chenyu Vale, Southern Mountain. You are going to find it to the northeast of the mountain.

On the battleground, you will encounter two Geo Vishapov, the Lords of the Chizhan Mountains, Yiji and Tianyu. These enemies are the new local legends in the game.
Lords of the Chizhan Mountains
It is crucial to have characters with shields and, ideally, healing in your team when trying to defeat them. Because these monsters have cryo and pyro elements, very high HP, and the ability to knock you down.
Unlike the Lord of the Chizhang Mountains, Tianyu, the Lord of the Chizhang Mountains, Yiji has a strong resistance to Pyro damage. Both monsters have average Cryo resistance attacks and a little more against everyone else, but they are weak against the Geo element.
To defeat the Lord of the Chizhang Mountains, you must practically destroy both Yiji and Tianyu. Attempt to hit both targets equally, or be ready to dispatch the second foe as soon as one of the Geo Beasts’ health is nearly gone.
You will need to hit the almost-dead enemy again because some of his HP will be restored if you do not have enough time to defeat another opponent.
While Tianyu stays back and damages Cryo with projectiles fired from a distance, Yiji engages in close-range fighting. This is a piece of important information to keep in mind throughout the battle.
Yiji and Tianyu Attacks
Their first attack is to strike in front of you and deal Cryo or Pyro damage in a specific area. After that, they jump and then growl. Following that, they ball up and roll in the direction of the active character, bringing them to the ground.
They shoot projectiles, creating a cryo or pyro field that occasionally deals damage. Standing close to one another, they shoot elemental streams in various directions.
Team Combinations for the Battle
- Itto
- Gorou
- Albedo
- Zhongli
Because the enemy has no resistance to the Geo element, a mono-elemental unit is an excellent choice for battle. With Gorou’s buffs, Itto deals the majority of the damage. Albedo makes a pocket hit. Zhongli offers a shield in addition to striking with his final blow.

- Furina
- Cookies
- Zhongli
Even at C0, Nevillette is capable of responding to opponents’ elemental statuses on his own and is able to fully utilize his passive ability. Furina offers buffs and launches pocket attacks. Zhongli and Cookie provide assistance.
Rewards
Upon defeating the Lords of the Chizhan Mountains, you are going to receive a couple of good rewards for your hard work. These rewards are:
- 5 primogems (for achievement)
- Fragile, Strong, or Fossilized Remains: A means of improving weaponry, such as the five-star Memory of Dust and Vortex Vanquisher, the four-star Dragonbone sword, the three-star Black Brush, and the prototypes: Archaic and Starlight.
