While venturing the new 4.1 Update of Genshin Impact, you’ll come across the Lost in Deep Seas quest under Chapter IV: Act III – To the Stars Shining in the Depths. If you’re somehow having a hard time finishing this quest, I’ve got you covered. You have nothing to worry about, we’ll just have to roam around Fortress, talk to some of the people and be sneaky.

Lost in Deep Seas Guide
In this quest continuation, you and Paimon come closer in finding the truth about the “hidden rule” in the Fontaine’s underwater prison.
This quest begins with a task to “Continue asking around for clues.” And you know what that means. We’ll have to go around and talk to the NPCs in the area. For this, simply follow the waypoint the game will provide. If you don’t see them, simply click “V” on your PC to Navigate.
First off, you’ll have to talk to Vidoc. It will be about Credit Coupons, the “hidden rule”, some “strange-sounding pipes” and cannibals.
After that, Vidoc tells you to act like he never told you anything, leaving you to ponder the unsettling information he just gave you. Anyway, carry on.
Next, there will be a dialogue between you and Paimon. Then, you’ll spawn in this location as shown in the image below.
From here, look to your left and you’ll see a Trio (Alexis, Leonide, and Poirier). You’ll have to talk to every single one of them to proceed. Here, you’ll learn more about Childe.
Proceed to the quest by making your way to the Dormitories. For this, simply follow the waypoint, enter the elevator and stop at the location. After that, follow the waypoint which leads you to Fielding.
In this part of the quest, he’ll reveal that there are three pipe-cleaning nights per month, and today happens to be one of them. This hints an opportunity for you and Paimon to go out at pipe-cleaning night to further investigate.
To proceed, simply follow the waypoint back to your bed and sleep. During your sleep, a cutscene will play out (some sort of a dream). The cutscene somehow tells you important information about Childe. I won’t go into details in this one, but it’s pretty short and you’ll wake up after.
Once you wake up, it will be pipe-cleaning night. Follow the waypoint onto the pipes. Be careful to not get caught by the guards or you’ll have to restart this part of the quest.
Though it’s not that hard as they only move back-and-forth. Make your move when they’re not looking.
At the end, you’ll encounter three familiar faces. Hmm. Anyway, once you reach the location, a long cutscene will play out which gives more important information about Childe.
You learn that Childe may have gone into a dead-end pipe, which is now flooded. You decide to seek the help of a skilled diver, possibly Freminet, to investigate further.
After the dialogue, simply follow the waypoint, return to your bed and sleep to finish the quest.
