Puzzles are well known to either make or break a player’s experience. Some enjoy the fact that they’re taking forever because the feeling of not looking up a solution online is quite rewarding. Others only have less than an hour to enjoy lunch so you can guess why some people aren’t really a fan of these things.

Opening The Ruins Gate is quite easy, you can either play Genshin Impact at home on your own time to figure things out or read a little bit of the guide to unlock the way forward, clearly, the second option sounds better so let’s go with that!

The answer to opening the gate that blocks your path within the Khaenri’ahn ruin lies within Rene’s investigation notes.

The correct symbols must be interacted with in the correct order so that all three different kinds of runes get displayed. You can also speak to Nasejuna again so that he can repeat the riddle for you.

You’ll have to keep on rotating the runes until the ones you have on your game match the order provided in the image above.

The rune shaped like a “W” should be sitting on top, while the square stays in the middle, and the triangle right down at the bottom.

Most of the work here has already been done for you if this is your first time visiting the ruins as the bottom should already be a triangle, to begin with.

Put all of the runes in the right place and the door will slide open, now head inside and let the cutscene play out to continue the quest!

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
