The final boss in the Sumeru area! Congratulations on reaching this far into the new amazing world that has been added to Genshin Impact. This boss is quite the difficult one when compared to others. You will have a very unpredictable pattern to follow when dealing with him. But have no fear, with this guide you’ll be able to take him on with your eyes closed. Let’s see what you’ll have to do.

Sumeru Final Boss Fight Guide – Genshin Impact

First of all, you might be thinking – where should you strike this kind of boss?! Well, simply where it feels most logical. You will aim for the middle of the entire area exactly where he is standing.

When attacking him here, make sure that you have a target to hit. Meaning that if he starts to elevate and go up in the air, you won’t be able to strike him and you’ll deal no damage.

This is his air attack. He will float up in the air. When he does this don’t go chasing after him or try to jump strike him. He will be making the air attack or stomping onto the ground dealing massive AoE damage to a very big radius. Simply back away once you see him doing this.

He will send wave attacks with this pattern too. You can see them coming one by one toward you. The key is to jump over them as they’re coming and getting near you. Also, try to get out of their radius and move far away as possible. This attack will last usually for 10 seconds. So just time it out and be prepared to make your move this time.

Your next action will be to start moving out of this arena. Follow the green circle that will lead your way and also heals you along the way. While running you will keep seeing circles around you. Dodge them because it is the boss attacking you.

Once you get to a certain point, you will activate the Healthy Dendrogranum and then proceed to strike at the bushes around the Withering area. You will aim for the bushes and for the red flowers alike.

Make sure to stay inside the green shield when he will bombard you. Otherwise, he will deal a lot of damage to you. Once he bombards you, he will spawn a big Ruin Guard too. It is just one enemy though but you’ll have to defeat it in order to proceed further.

When those enemies are down, and the flowers and bushes are down, you will go to the big Red Flower in the middle and Destroy the Tumor of Withering.

Second Stage of the Fight

Use the zaps to get back to the fighting arena as soon as possible. When you get back to the Boss he should be looking something like this:

This is when you’ll be doing as much damage as possible to him. You will have very little time to do damage so literally use everything that you’ve got in order to damage him more. When you get to about 50%-60% he will leap back into the air and you’ll need to walk around looking for another Withering Zone.

Leave the arena once again. Follow the green circle again and it will take you to another Withering Zone (this time on the left side). When you get here you will need to do exactly the same as the first one.

Destroy the red flowers, defeat all the enemies, and then at the end just Destroy the Tumor of Withering yet again. The only difference this time is the enemies. You will get a couple of mothers coming your way and they do a lot of damage.

Be careful of the usual bombardment and such. Stay inside the green shield and heal up as much as you can to go back into the arena.

Use the zaps to fly inside the arena as fast as possible again. You will find Marana’s Avatar (the boss) looking the same again. Now is your time to do an insane amount of damage yet again!

This time he will fly up and become unable to hit after he is on 30%-40% HP.

Third Stage of the Fight

Get out of the arena and follow the green circle yet again. It will take you to another Withering Zone which you will have to clean up like the other two.

You will get taken to a very similar kind of position. There will be red flowers, big red flowers, and then some enemies spawning to take you down. You will get the usual bombardment that the boss will hit you so make sure to cover behind the green shield again.

When all of that is taken care of, just Destroy the Tumor of Withering. Zap back again to the boss’s arena!

This time you should be able to take him down all the way to 0% HP!

Final Stage of the Fight

If you thought that he is dead, think again! This last stage will be a classic type of a boss fight that you’ll see in Genshin Impact.

You will get lots of enemies spawning around the boss and trying to kill you, while it will be damaging you too. Keep your focus on the Boss though. He has a really low amount of HP so there is no reason to go after the smaller enemies in this situation.

Once you take him down all the way to 0% HP he will be dead this time.

Congratulations! You’ve beaten the Sumeru final boss. We hope that this guide was of some help and aided you in finally completing the entire Sumeru Region. We wish you good luck in this fight and don’t forget, the green shield is your friend!
