In Genshin Impact 5.2, players can now complete plenty of World Quests that will have them exploring new areas. Plenty of these new quests will also have puzzles that you’ll need to solve. Some of them can get pretty tricky, like clearing the Abyssal Corruption out.
If you’re stuck on this puzzle and can’t seem to complete it, we’ve got you covered! In this guide, we’ll go through all the steps you need to complete to clear the abyssal corruption out. Without further delay, let’s dive in!
Try to Clear the Abyssal Corruption Out Guide
This objective is part of the Palace of the Vision Serpent quest where you enter some ruins. In essence, you will need to light up three Radiant Pillars using Radiant Fragments to be able to remove the corruption.
Let’s go through each of the different pillars and how you can activate them.
Radiant Pillar #1
The first Radiant Pillar is fairly straightforward. When you get the quest, you’ll find the pillar at the start. We’ve shown an image of it on the map below just in case you get turned around.
By this point, you’ll already have an extra Radiant Fragment with you from a previous objective in the quest. So all you need to do is place it into the Radiant Pillar to activate it.
Radiant Pillar #2
Next, you’ll need to make your way to the other side of the gap. You can do this by following the path shown below. Simply cross the gap and drop down where you see the locked door. You’ll be able to spot a Radiant Fragment behind the locked door.
Go to the right side of the locked door and you’ll see some broken wooden boards. From here, you’ll need to climb up to the top.
When you reach the top, you should be able to spot a Radiant Fragment in a lift. Extract the Radiant Fragment and then activate the lift to go down. When you remove the fragment, the door behind will also get locked.
When you reach the bottom, you will see the Radiant Fragment that you passed by before. Extract this Radiant Fragment too and open the locked door. At this point, you should have x2 Radiant Fragments.
When you leave the locked door, go to the right and immediately climb to the top. Here, you should be able to spot the second Radiant Pillar. Place both the Radiant Fragments here to activate it.
Just one more Radiant Pillar to go to clear the abyssal corruption!
Radiant Pillar #3
For the next radiant pillar, go across the gap that is towards the left of the second Radiant Pillar. When you do so, you should be able to spot a Radiant Fragment.
Pick it up and then use it to activate the pillar near the door covered with corruption. Doing so will clear the corruption, allowing you to enter it. However, as you do so, a small cutscene will play and the corruption will return because of an enemy knocking the fragment out.
So, you will need to drop down the hole inside.
When you do so, you’ll find yourself in a small room. Here, you can interact with the switch to turn on the nearby elevator. Additionally, you will also be able to pick up the Rust-Spotted key.
From here, go up the elevator and you’ll spot the Radiant Fragment that the enemy knocked out. Pick it up and head towards the left.
Here, you should spot a switch that can be opened using the Rust-Spotted Key. It will remove the barrier allowing you to enter inside.
Here, you should spot another Radiant Fragment that you can extract from a pillar. At this point, you will have x2 Radiant Fragments.
Now head out and go to the third and final Radiant Pillar that you walked across. Place both the Radiant Fragments inside the third Radiant Pillar. Doing so will start a cutscene leading to the abyssal corruption being cleared out.
We leave the rest for you to discover as this is all you need to do to clear the abyssal corruption. Also, you do not need to do the radiant pillars in order. You can do this in any order you want as long as all three of the pillars are activated in the end.
