If you’re diving into GHOUL://RE and want to hit max rank fast, whether as a Ghoul or a CCG, you’ve come to the right place. I’ve spent countless hours grinding, testing different strats, and figuring out the best ways to level up without wasting time. And trust me, I’m not just throwing random tips at you, I got to Rank 4 in under a week using these exact methods. Ranking up isn’t just about mindlessly farming; it’s about working smart!

How to Get Max Rank Fast (Ghoul & CCG)

If you’re here, that means you’re trying to level up fast, whether you’re rocking a Ghoul or a CCG slot. I’ve been grinding hard, and I found some of the best strategies to get to max rank in no time. Trust me, this method works because I got to Rank 4 in under a week!

But if you’re serious about ranking up, having the right setup helps. I personally have two Arimas and a CCG slot mainly for Quinque storage. Whether you’re grinding as a Ghoul or CCG, make sure your loadout is optimized for fast XP gain. Also, here are some tips before we get into the nitty-gritty:

  • Ghouls should prioritize Kagune upgrades for better damage output.
  • CCGs should focus on crafting weapons for variety and efficiency in fights.
  • Always carry healing items to extend grind sessions without unnecessary downtime.

Ghoul vs. CCG – Which One Should You Pick?

Both factions have pros and cons:

  • CCGs have more content due to weapon crafting.
  • Ghouls don’t have Kagune storage, which is a pain. If they ever add it, it should require material crafting for balance.
  • Ghoul progression is generally harder due to worse farming spots and fewer walls to cheese enemies.

Understanding The EXP System, Gripping Mechanics & Best Quests

If you’re a Ghoul, head to Anteiku or Helterskater, while CCG players should go to the CCG Base. NPCs in these areas will guide you on ranking up, like Hanazuki, who provides information on vents (P button) and mission board EXP. The grip system is inconsistent, sometimes gripping an NPC or player grants EXP, but not always. As a Ghoul, when completing events or missions, it’s unclear whether you need to use B or not, though I personally noticed EXP increasing when using CTRL + B.

For beginners, the best quests to start with are Help Your Faction and Boss Fighting since they allow you to fight alongside NPC allies, which is helpful if you’re playing solo. Stat-wise, prioritizing Strength is crucial, as it increases M1 damage, making combat smoother.

Wall Cheese for Boss Fights

To make fights easier, use walls whenever possible. NPC AI struggles against ranged attacks, so cheesing bosses by attacking from a distance is an effective strategy. Dashing attacks are particularly useful since NPCs don’t react well to them. If you’re fighting without cover, a simple M1 then step back technique can also help.

CCG players have an easier time grinding since their missions and bosses spawn near walls, making fights more manageable. Ghouls, on the other hand, have fewer obstacles to exploit and need to separate enemies when taking on groups.

EXP Leeching – How To Take Advantage of It

When it comes to farming EXP, leeching is a viable strategy. Anyone within the original quest area receives EXP when the quest is completed, regardless of their contribution. This means you can level up by simply staying close to active missions. CCG players benefit the most from this system since their missions are near their base, and bosses give 200-250 EXP on death, plus an additional 450 EXP when the quest finishes. Even hitting the boss once is enough to claim EXP, provided you’re nearby.

For Ghouls, EXP farming is trickier since Ghoul bosses don’t grant EXP on death, making mission boards a better option. One of the best strategies is to grind inside the CCG base instead. CCG players have access to walls that help them cheese bosses, and their missions spawn in better locations.

To avoid getting targeted, I recommend using fists instead of your kagune and simply assisting CCG players in their missions. Stay friendly, let the CCG pros do the work, and focus on boss NPCs with health bars since they yield the most EXP. If done correctly, you won’t need to grind for too long before ranking up.

PD Points & Survived (Permadeath) – How To Farm Them Better

Once you reach Rank 4/A, you’ll need PD Points or PD Survived, which are earned by participating in Blood Crown, Birdcage, Invasion, Turf War, Artifact Stealing, and Permadeath events. These events occur at xx:00 and xx:30 in real-life time.

Most events finish quickly, but Permadeath lasts 10-15 minutes. If you need multiple PD points, the best strategy is to server hop for non-Permadeath events, then join a Permadeath server right before its effect ends to still receive the PD credit. I personally wait on the “Permadeath Alert” screen to find the best server to jump into at the right moment.

Wrap-Up

Ranking up fast in GHOUL://RE isn’t just about grinding endlessly, it’s about working smarter, not harder. Whether you’re a Ghoul or a CCG player, optimizing your setup, taking advantage of mechanics like EXP leeching, and knowing when (and where) to farm can make all the difference.

Personally, I’ve found that the most important thing is staying adaptable. Sometimes, the best strategy isn’t about brute force but rather using the game’s systems to your advantage. Whether it’s cheesing NPCs with walls, picking the right missions, or playing the long game with PD events, every little edge helps.

At the end of the day, grinding to max rank should still be fun. If you ever feel burned out, take a break, experiment with different builds, or switch up your playstyle.
