Grand Piece Online continues to be updated on a regular basis, and with that comes balance changes that seek to buff or nerf various things to keep the meta spicy and encourage some diversity to the gameplay. In this guide, we will quickly be going through the changes that were done to a lot of the weapons in the game!
All New Update Weapon Changes Guide
With the latest update comes a wide range of balance changes affecting both fruits and weapons. In this guide specifically, we will be covering all of the weapon changes that were made and what this means for each of them.
First of all, let’s start with a huge general overall change that was done, which was making various weapons scale off strength. Here is a list of weapons that now scale off the user’s strength stat:
- Golden Staff
- Elo Hammer
- Vrael’s Pipe
- Santa’s Bells
- Festival Shield
For most of the weapons in the list above, this is a minor buff that will add a few points of damage to their hits. However, it had the unintended effect of somehow reducing the damage output of certain items like the Festival Shield and some attacks of the Golden Staff.
A few skills and basic attacks have no noticeable shift in damage output with these changes, but for some, like the Vrael’s Pipe, this new scaling update is a huge buff that makes some of its moves extremely powerful.
Aside from these general changes, the Dark Blade and Roger’s Ace counter abilities both now have a longer stun duration and can break Ken. These two skills can no longer be perfect blocked as well, and Nightfall Counter in particular has hyper armor now.
The Hollow Fang’s Thousand Strikes move also got a slight increase in its stun duration. Overall, a lot of swords just became a bit better at stunning enemies.
Kikoku also got a small change in that Amputate now counts as a grab. In addition to that, this move cannot block breaks anymore.
The Flower Bouquet’s Flower Charm move can now be evaded. One other additional change that is not too significant is that the Knight’s Gauntlet’s Grand Entrance Slam has had its hitbox changed a bit so that it matches with the skill’s effects.
Finally, the developer snuck in a bit of a sneaky change that is not part of the main patch notes but rather as a small follow up afterwards. In a nutshell, the Sweet Treat ability of the limited Candy Cane weapon has been nerfed, so keep that in mind if you use it in your build.
