Grand Piece Online updated a few days ago, and they introduced a new fishing mechanic. In this guide, I’ll show you the best and easiest ways to snag some great items while fishing! Fishing can be a fun and rewarding experience, especially with the new mechanics introduced in the latest update. I’ll share my best tips and tricks to make your fishing journey as smooth as possible. First up, you’ll head to Shelltown, where you’ll stock up on essential gear. Let’s get right into it!
Easiest Way To Fish Guide
First off, you’ll want to start in Shelltown. Head over to the docks and buy a Fishing rod and some bait from the Fisherman NPC. I recommend getting the maximum amount of bait, so you won’t run out while you’re out there fishing.
Once you’ve got everything ready, you’ll need either a private server or the Magu. If you’re using a private server, activate the PVP pads to prevent Marines or CPs from spawning and bothering you.
Next, make your way to Sphinx Island and head directly west until you find the Rockers. When you arrive, spawn a Caravel and stand on it. This way, you can fish in peace! If you don’t have a boat, no worries—just stand on the water. But remember, this won’t work in the EA zone, so don’t attempt that there!
Once you’ve caught 20 fish, return to spawn and trade them for the Rare Rod at the Blacksmith. After that, you can start fishing again!
Now, a quick tip: I personally don’t recommend getting the Epic Rod. Instead, I suggest spending your legendary fish on more bait. From my experience, the Epic Rod isn’t that effective.
You can also gauge the rarity of the fish you’ll be getting based on their movement speed. If a fish is slow and doesn’t move much, it’s likely to be rare. If it’s speedy and all over the place, it might just be legendary! Additionally, listen for the sound—legendary fish usually make a deeper, heavier sound compared to common ones.
Is Fishing in GPO Worth It?
Now, here comes the important question: Is fishing really worth it?
Honestly, I’ve spent over 9 hours trying to catch a rare item, and the best I got was the new helmet. Spoiler alert: it’s not that great. So, I’d only recommend fishing if you’re really, really eager to get the new anchor weapon inspired by Nautilus in League of Legends. Just so you know, this weapon scales off strength.
There you have it! That’s everything you know regarding the new fishing mechanic in Grand Piece Online. If you have questions or concerns, feel free to leave them in the comments section below.
