Obtaining a Grimoire is the first step towards using magic in the Grimoires Era. Without a Grimoire, your options are limited to physical attacks or using a sword that drops from a boss. Your path to using magic in the game is through grimoires.
There are eight different kinds of Grimoires, each of which is associated with a particular kind of magic. With that being said, some of them are better than others. In this tier list, we are going to rank them all for you to give you an idea of which one to choose.
Best Magic Tier List
Each magic is ranked from strongest to weakest based on the advantages it offers in Grimoires Era. Let’s see which magic abilities are the most beneficial in the game. Remember that this is a subjective list that might not include the views of all people.
In the first list, we are going to focus on the general ranking of the Magic Grimoires. We will talk about how good they are in general. In the second list, we will rank them based on PvE in the game, and we will talk about their rarities and movesets.
S Tier
- Wind:
- With moves like Wind Spear and Wind Hurricane, the Wind Grimoire emphasizes dexterity and long-range attacks. It is perfect for crowd control and hit-and-run strategies.
- Anti-Magic:
- The Anti-Magic Grimoire features devastating offensive movesets like Anti-Magic Slash and Anti-Magic Hurricane. It specializes in launching strong attacks and eliminating magic users.
- Dark:
- The Dark Grimoire combines melee and ranged attacks with access to forbidden powers. It is flexible enough to engage enemies both up close and far away, thanks to movesets like Dark Cut and Dark Slash.
A Tier
- Flame:
- The Fire Grimoire is ideal for aggressive playstyles. Movesets such as Fire Bust and Fire Pillar provide strong offensive skills that can destroy your opponents.
B Tier
- Water:
- The Water Grimoire deals damage to enemies and focuses on assistance and healing. It is an invaluable addition to any squad, thanks to movesets like Water Explosion and Water Bomb.
- However, since this move is mainly centered around support, we can say that it is a mid-ability in the game.
- Reinforcement
- It is more of a fighting grimoire, with an emphasis on forceful physical blows. It has a few cool moves that become available rather quickly.
- It is not the best magic to have, but it is definitely not the worst either.
C Tier
- Bronze:
- The Bronze Grimoire prioritizes agility and close-range combat. Movesets like Bronze Whip and Double Bronze Whip offer a well-rounded strategy for combat.
- It is not a bad grimoire to have, but we cannot say that it is that good as well.
D Tier
- Regen:
- The Regen Grimoire has only three moves that you can use. Each of these moves is centered around healing rather than damage. Because of that, it fails to be a good grimoire in the game.

Best PvE-Based Magic
S Tier
Flame
The flame can be obtained through Rare Grimoires with a 12% chance. Its skills include:
- Z: Fire Bust
- X: Fire Pillar
- C: Fire Roar
- V: Fire Emperor
Since this grimoire’s moves are mostly focused on an aggressive playstyle, it is one of the best options to choose in PvE.
Wind
You have the chance of obtaining the wind magic through Legendary Grimoires with a 0.9% chance. This magic has four normal moves and four transformed moves.
- Z: Wind Spear (Wind Blast when transformed)
- X: Wind Hurricane (Wind Race)
- C: Wind Sharp (Wind Rush)
- V: Transform (Detransformation)
The Wind is one of the grimoires that is undoubtedly good in every aspect. Its moves are great for PvE, and provide you with powerful attacks.
A Tier
Anti-Magic
You can get the Anti-Magic from Mythical Grimoires with a 0.1% chance. There are four normal moves and four transformed moves for this magic.
- Z: Anti-Magic Slash (Anti-Magic Cracks when transformed)
- X: Anti-Magic Hurricane (Anti-Magic Burst)
- C: Anti-Magic Liberation (Anti-Magic Break)
- V: Transform (Detransformation)
Anti-Magic is also one of the best grimoires in the game, but when considered in PvE, it falls a little shorter than the ones we talked about in the S tier.
Water
There is a 12% chance of obtaining the flame through Rare Grimoires. Its abilities consist of:
- Z: Water Bomb
- X: Water Explosion
- C: Water Health
- V: Water Flood
While Water Grimoire is a good support magic, it is not doing so well in PvE.
Bronze
The Bronze magic ability can be acquired through Uncommon Grimoires with a 23% chance. It has four moves in total.
- Z: Bronze Whip
- X: Double Bronze Whip
- C: Sequential Bronze Whip
- V: Area Bronze
B Tier
Reinforcement
The reinforcement magic comes from Common Grimoires with a 60% chance. See the moves below.
- Z: Reinforcement Crusher
- X: Reinforcement Grimoire
- C: Reinforcement Punch
- V: Reinforcement Transformation
The aggressive moves of Reinforcement make it a decent option for PvE. However, we cannot say that it is one of the bests when compared with other grimoires.
C Tier
Dark
You can get the dark magic from Epic Grimoires with a 4% chance. The moves of this magic are:
- Z: Dark Cut
- X: Dark Slash
- C: Dark Tp
- V: Dark Ultimate
Dark is a good Grimoire to have in Grimoires Era. However, it mostly performs well in PvP rather than PvE.
Regen
Common Grimoires have a 60% chance of containing regen magic. Its move set is:
- Z: Self Regen
- X: Area Regen
- C: Vampire Regen
Since Regen is a support Grimoire, it fails to be a good option in PvE. The Regen Grimoire does not have many moves for you to use, and it does not have aggressive moves as well. Even though we can say that Vampire Regen is a little bit powerful, it is not enough to carry the whole grimoire.
