If you’ve made it to the Ice Cream Cart or the colder areas in Grounded 2, chances are you’ve already shivered your tiny butt off and asked: “How do I not die of frostbite?” 🥶 Enter the Milkweed Tuft—a fluffy plant fiber that might not look like much, but it’s your best friend when it comes to crafting cold-weather armor 🧥 and some really cool base furniture 🪑✨. The problem? The game doesn’t exactly tell you where to find it—or what it even looks like. This guide breaks down where to get Milkweed, how to harvest it without wasting time, and what you can craft once you’ve got a decent stash. Let’s get fluffy. 🐑

How To Get Milkweed Tufts (Where To Find)

The best spot I’ve found to gather Milkweed Pods is just south of the Picnic Table 📍—on the southeastern edge of the map. It’s kind of a dead zone, and the plants totally look like someone left them out in the sun too long. Dried, brown, kinda sad… but exactly what we’re looking for. 🪴

Here’s how I usually run it:

  • ✅ Glide down or ride your buggy to the south end of the Picnic Table
  • ✅ Look for brown, dead-looking plants with small pod-like shapes sticking off them
    • 🌸 Bonus tip: Look for pink flowers—those usually mark the top of the plant
  • ✅ These are the Milkweed Plants—and the pods are what you’re after!

Some pods are already on the ground, while others are still hanging. If they’re up high, grab your Tier 2 Axe or a bow—yes, you can shoot them down. 🎯

How to Harvest Milkweed Tufts (Without Losing Them)

Harvesting Milkweed isn’t just chop-and-go—there’s a bit of finesse involved if you want to get everything.

  1. Find a pod – On the ground or hanging from the plant 🌱
  2. Break it free – If it’s hanging, shoot it or hit it to knock it down 🔫
  3. Chop it up – Hit it about 5 times with your Tier 2 Axe 🪓
  4. Watch it pop – It’ll burst open and drop Milkweed Tufts and Chunks
  5. Chop again – Yep, they pop twice, so don’t leave too early
  6. Collect fast – Tufts float and bounce like dandelion fluff. Don’t let them roll away! ☁️💨

Requirements

  • 🪓 Tier 2 Axe – You can’t break open pods without this
  • 🏹 Bow – Optional, but super useful for shooting pods down from above
  • 🐞 Buggy or Glider – To move around faster between plants

Wrap-Up: Fluff Now, Thank Yourself Later

So yeah—Milkweed Tufts might not seem exciting, but they’re a game-changer when it comes to surviving the colder zones in Grounded 2. Once you know where to look and what to bring, farming them becomes super easy and even kind of fun. 😎

Here’s the short version:
