Grand Theft Auto V, particularly its online component, is still going strong as people await the eventual release of the next installment. During this holiday season, they are running it back and allowing players to unlock some of last year’s free seasonal rewards. In this guide, we will be showing you how to get both the WM 29 pistol and the Season’s Greetings weapon skin for the Pistol MKII.

All you need to do in order to get both of these rewards is to complete the Weazel Plaza Shootout random event, which occurs at around 8 PM up until 6 AM in game time.

This happens at the roof of the Weazel Plaza tower, and a red dot should show up on the map if it is currently active. Supposedly, you need to wait around 20 minutes in an invite only session for this to pop up, but it is not guaranteed. Public servers will often give you a better shot at finding it.

Use any flying vehicle to get up there at night and be ready to fight a bunch of NPCs beside a red flare, especially the “Thief”, who is carrying the weapon that you want to get. This is not a particularly hard encounter, so just drop in and take them out with whatever you have.

Once you kill all of the enemies up here, look for a pistol on the ground. This is the WM 29, and picking it up will unlock it forever in your account, allowing you to purchase and upgrade it from any Ammu-Nation store.

In addition to that, you will also unlock the Season’s Greetings livery for the Pistol MKII. You should see a notification that this mod is unlocked as soon as you pick up the WM 29 as well.
