The ZGMF-XX09T Dom Trooper is not to be confused with the MS-09 Dom. While both are similar in design, the Dom Trooper Mobile Suits are the more advanced version, as well as the most recent models. This is due to the fact that the Dom Trooper made their debut in Mobile Suit Gundam: Seed Destiny. The Dom Troopers are piloted by Hilda Harken, Mars Simeon, and Herbert Von Reinhard, and they are extremely powerful as a team. You can also become a powerhouse with the Dom Trooper in Gundam Evolution, if you know what you are doing.
Dom Trooper Guide – Gundam Evolution
The Dom Trooper is a mid-range attacker, with 1200 HP and a dash limit of 1. While everything else seems great, the fact that Dom Trooper only has 1 dash at all times is a bit of a bummer. But you will be surprised to see how agile Dom Trooper is, despite the decision to only have one dash.
Dom Trooper’s main weapon of choice is the Giga-Launcher DR1 Multiplex.
This bad boy fires rockets at enemy units, dealing large damage with direct hits, and little splash damage to those who are near the blast radius.
Aside from shooting rockets, the Giga-Launcher can also fire a continuous beam for a short while. It doesn’t deal a lot of damage, and it leaves you open to attacks. Not to mention that you can’t fire rockets for a second after it ends, so I don’t recommend using this unless you have no other option.
For the skills, Dom Trooper offers an offensive skill, and a support skill. The Suction Sensor Mines is the offensive skill that allows Dom Trooper to plant mines in areas, detonating itself when it senses nearby enemy movement.
For the support skill, Dom Trooper pulls out an Armor Gun, which grants a temporary bonus increase to an allies HP.
It doesn’t offer much beyond that, but it does help when you are surrounded by enemy forces.
The G Maneuver is the pièce de resistance of the Dom Trooper kit. The Screaming Nimbus is the all time best support G Maneuver, as activating the skill not only makes Dom Trooper charge towards enemies, deflecting enemy attacks from the front and damaging any enemy unit that gets too close, it also grants a temporary HP increase and speed increase to you, and your allies. Not only that, but any enemy that is hit with the Screaming Nimbus automatically gets their shields downed, leaving them to attacks.
While there are some room for improvement for Dom Trooper, the current kit for this Mobile Unit is more than satisfactory.
With a great main weapon and effective skills, you can’t go wrong with Dom Trooper, as it is also an all around Mobile Suit. In the future, we can only hope that they grant this big boy another dash limit, because this big boy can go fast if it wanted to.
