Tower Defense Simulator has had a Halloween Update that has brought a variety of changes. In addition to major changes, there have been some more subtle changes brought to the towers. Some of these changes might not be immediately noticed and as a result may throw off some of the players when they boot the game up.
In this guide, we will look at these subtle changes and more that you might have missed with the Halloween Update. This includes a variety of buffs, nerfs, and additional changes. You will really want to check this guide as this update might want you to reconsider some of the ways in which you use your towers. Let’s dive in and see what these changes are!
Halloween Update Guide On Tower Defense Simulator Roblox
The Halloween Update for Tower Defense Simulator has brought a variety of changes to the towers. This includes the very powerful and meta towers, which have been changed much to the dismay of players. Additionally, some towers have actually been improved and given a buff.
A variety of other changes that have allowed these towers to be more in line with how they should have been in the first place. Also, some quality of life changes to the effects in the game have allowed players to better see what’s going on during the game.
Gladiator Changes
Before this update, Gladiator was by far the strongest event tower in the game by a mile. This was because he had infinite pierce. Essentially, Gladiator could attack as many enemies as he wanted to within the range of his sword, making him incredibly overpowered.
However, with the update, this was changed to a set amount of enemies, like how the Archer operates. He was able to target only three enemies at once now.
This was an unintentional change, however, since the original goal was to balance him out. So, infinite pierce was removed with the update making him nerfed.
But, after that, this change was modified in which he could do some more damage at higher levels. Now, currently, Gladiator is in a weird state. The changes made to him seem to have been canceled and reverted to his original form.
This means that Gladiator will likely be reworked in the future to ensure that he is properly balanced. However, this is all speculation and Gladiator is currently in an uncertain state with the Halloween update.
Pyromancer Changes
The Pyromancer Tower has a huge problem where his fire effects were not visible before the update. This meant that players could not tell who he was targeting when fighting enemies. For the first time since the Overhaul Update, it seems that the developers have finally fixed his fire effects.
They are no longer invisible and now you can clearly tell which enemies are being set on fire. Additionally, you can now even see when the Pyromancer changes targets, enabling you to get a better idea of the battlefield.
Another interesting change made to the Pyromancer is the way his fire ability interacts with frozen enemies. Now, when Pyromancer sets fire to frozen enemies, the fire actually thaws out the ice effect. This removes the frozen effect from the enemies.
It is important to note that Molten enemies will remain frozen. This is because the Pyromancer can have no effect on these enemies due to their fire immunity. So these enemies will remain frozen despite the changes.
These changes will also apply to towers that freeze enemies, namely the Frost Blaster and Freezer.
As a result, it is now no longer viable to combine Freeze towers with Pyromancer. Actually, it is detrimental since both towers basically consider each other’s effect void and can be a waste.
If you still do want to use both towers for the event, we suggest that you keep that apart to ensure that their effects do not mix. This also applies to the Archer, so make sure that you do not mix him with Freezing Towers either.
Interestingly, the fire effects for the Archer do not show, even though the Pyromancer’s Fire Effects were fixed!
Toxic Gunner Fix And Buff
Toxic Gunner has been in a very bad state since the Solar Eclipse Update. This update led to Toxic Gunner’s effects not showing up, similar to the Pyromancer. What made this worse, however, was that the Poison Damage wasn’t working either, making him weaker than intended.
However, with this update, the effects have been fixed. Additionally the Poison Damage works now at Level 2, which was the intended way he would operate. Now, he has a much better DPS at Level 2,3 and 4 than he did before.
He is a very good Tower in the game now with an excellent cost per DPS rate. Additionally, he is able to slow down enemies which means he is finally working how he was designed. Keep in mind that he cannot slow down major bosses, but still a great and much needed Buff.
While it is unclear how much he can slow down compared to before, the Poison Effect now working means that he is overall better at slowing down enemies.
Swarmer Nerf
Swarmer used to be one of the strongest towers in the game. This is because you could stack damage from multiple Swarmers at once.
As a result, people would simply use multiple Swarmers against enemies and the damage would be multiplied by the amount of towers.
However, the Swarmer has now been nerfed and damage no longer stacks. Swarmers can still attack enemies with a Swarm on them, but no extra damage will be inflicted. This means it’s practically useless to have the additional Swarmer.
The only way in which you can use multiple Swarmers is if you set their Attacks to Random. After that, you could use them to spam crowds of enemies to ensure that all of them have the effect on them. Even then, if you have too many Swarmers, it would be useless and a waste.
That is everything you need to know about the subtle changes made in the New Halloween Update. As you can see, these changes have the potential to significantly change up the meta, especially the changes to Swarmers and Gladiators. Additionally, the new changes to fix towers is very welcome, allowing players to finally use these towers during the event.
