Discovering and exploring Cairn locations in Hogwarts Legacy is a task and a quest only for the bravest and most thorough of explorers in the game. They aren’t easy to find and require quite a bit of quest-related paths.

In this guide, we will show you how to find each of them and unlock the Intrepid Explorer Achievement along the way. Let’s get started.

All Cairn Locations | Intrepid Explorer Achievement – Hogwarts Legacy

There are a total of 5 Cairn Locations in Hogwarts Legacy.

Here we shall present you with each of their locations.

To discover a Cairn you simply need to enter one and the task will be done. But, every Cairn is a specific quest-related place so you need to start the quest first.

Cairn Location 1

This is the location of the first Cairn cave that you can come to.

You need to start out the quest by the name of “The Helm of Urktot” to be able to enter it, however. It is a main quest meaning that you will come across this place eventually even if you did not care for it.

Cairn Location 2

The second cairn location will be on the very far east of the map just where the map is ending basically.

You need to start out the quest by the name of “Beeting a Curse”  which can be found in the Greenhouse of Hogwarts. It will unlock only after you have completed the “Charles Rookwood Trial” which is a main storyline quest.

Cairn Location 3

The third Ciarn location is all the way to the ocean and seaside on the west side of the map.

Come to this location and cave but only after you have started the quest by the name of “In The Shadow Of Time” which is a relationship quest started out by talking to Sebastian Sallow.

Cairn Location 4

The fourth Cairn Location will be just on the right side from the previous, as you walk along the main path next to the hill.

To reveal this cave and be able to actually enter and discover it, you shall need to start the quest by the name of “The Centaur and the Stone” which is a relationship quest that is started by talking to Poppy Sweeting.

Carin Location 5

This one is on the right side of the map where the extension island to the very southeast will happen.

You can come to the cave as it is just where the breaking of ground is next to the mainland. To be able to enter and discover it, however, you need to start out the quest by the name of “Cursed Tomb Treasure”.

For some people, however, you don’t actually need to start this quest so you may freely enter it.

Those are all the Cairn Locations that will give you the Intrepid Explorer Achievement when you first take a step inside them. We hope that this guide has helped you out in this matter. Have fun exploring these sites yourself!
