There are numerous mounts you can get in the Wizarding World, many being from the popular Harry Potter books and movies. One such mount is the Thestral, an undead horse with wings that you can only see if you’ve witnessed someone die.
Catching a Thestral is important not only for getting a mount that makes you look like one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse but also because you will need to catch two of them for the Foal of the Dead quest.
This guide will show you where you can catch one and how!
Where to Find the Thestral

You can catch a Thestral in one of two locations.
One is off to the North, in the eastern part of the North Ford Bog region, just north of the East North Ford Bog Floo Flame.
The second, and one pictured above, is the Thestral den east of the Maruweem Lake region and north of the Tower Tunnel Floo Flame. Here you will find numerous Thestrals, but catching them can be a bit tough.
How to Catch a Thestral

After you have made your way to the Thestral den, slowly approach them as to not scare them off. Once you are close enough, use your Levioso spell to levitate one of them into the air, then use your Nab Sack to capture it.
You now have a Thestral you can use as a mount!
