You need to find better gear to make your wizard or witch stronger in Hogwarts Legacy. To do this, you can do quests, complete puzzles, open chests, and many more.
However, if you want the best gear in the game, finding an Ornate Chest is the way to go. These chests will give you random Legendary gear.
Luckily, you can find one on the Roof Balcony of the Bell Tower. Here’s how you can get there.
Getting to the Roof Balconies

You can only access the top of the Bell Tower if you’ve solved the Bell Puzzle.
Once you’ve done this, fast-travel to the Bell Tower Courtyard Floo Flame. While facing toward the Floo Flame, ascend the stairs on the right and continue climbing another set of stairs on the left.

Keep ascending until you reach the Choir Room; you will know you are near it once you encounter an Eye Chest.
Climb the stairs in the middle of the Choir Room, then go to the back to find another staircase. Ascend the staircases, passing through the solved Bell Puzzle until you reach the door leading you to the roof balcony.

Open the door to find an Ornate Chest to the left and a Toad statue on the right leading you to the other Bell Tower which also has other chests for you to open.
