The closest thing the game can give you is the ability to catch and care for the creatures you save from the local poachers.

If you’re still wondering how to get started, then wonder no more as we’re here to show you what needs to be done.

How to Unlock Pets Magical Beasts Guide | Hogwarts Legacy

To start interacting with the local fauna you need to have the Vivarium space inside the Room of Requirement, you can do that by doing quests related to it.

Next is to attend Beast Class with Professor Howin, she can be found outside of The Bell Tower Wing.

Finish your first Beast Class with Professor Howin and Poppy Sweeting, they’ll walk you through a series of tasks and the professor will fill you in about the local poachers terrorizing the area.

At this point, the brush and beast feed should already be available in your inventory.

Next is Deek’s side quest called The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and The Loom.

Talk to him in the Room of Requirement and he will give you a bag along with some tips on how to capture beats you encounter in the wild.

This is part of the main quest line so you’ll see it pop up eventually.

Once the Vivarium is made available, you can go in here whenever you please to interact with the animals you catch out in the wild. They will give you materials that you can use for future upgrades.

Like the Room of Requirement, the Vivarium will have quests that you can do to unlock more things, check in with Deek as you progress to find out more.

And that’s how you unlock pets!

They’ll be scattered around the world so you best get to capturing before the poachers do.

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
