Hogwarts Legacy: Pendulum Puzzle Solution

There is a puzzle located in the clock tower that, once completed, will give you access to four rooms, all of which are connected to the clock tower room. Each room has new items that can help improve your character, such as gear and gold.

To reach these rooms, you won’t be using the Alohomora spell to unlock the doors as you may expect. Instead, there is a puzzle you must first solve before you can gain access.

Here is a quick guide showing you how to solve the puzzle so you can get the rewards just beyond those doors.

Finding the Puzzle

To start the puzzle, you must first make your way to the clock tower courtyard, as shown above. Make your way inside, and you will see a large pendulum swinging back and forth. This is the puzzle.

However, before you start, you must have the Glacius or Arresto Momentum spell. They will be needed to complete the spell, so make sure you have either before proceeding.

Solving the Puzzle

Now that you have made your way to the clock tower with either Glacius or Arresto Momento equipped, you can start the puzzle.

Above the large pendulum, you’ll notice there are four symbols those being the unicorn, owl, goblet, and mantis. The symbol corresponds to the four doors you’ll be unlocking.

As the pendulum reaches the symbol of the door you want to complete, use the Glacius or Arresto Momentum spell to stop the pendulum from swinging.

Once you have done so, the associated door will briefly open. You can repeat this process for all four doors.
