Hogwarts Legacy: Search the Tomb For the Helmet Objective

Time to dive into the depths of this cave for some helmet.

You may be a student of Hogwarts, but that doesn’t mean you are free from danger. Hogwarts students have a bad history of being in constant danger at all times, even before the time of Harry Potter. I guess it comes with the occupation of being a wizard, seeing as how people are joining either the Light or Dark force.

The students in Hogwarts Legacy, however, face magical monsters that Harry and his friends did not face. In this guide, we will be showing you how to get into the Collector’s Cave to search for a helmet.

Search the Tomb For the Helmet Objective – Hogwarts Legacy

Bear in mind that there is some loot you can get inside the cave, but we will not be focusing on that. We will just focus on the main objective of going through the cave to find the helmet.

Search The Collector’s Cave

Going through the cave is pretty straightforward. The only problem here is that there are locked doors that prevent you from continuing. The only way to unlock them, however, is with the help of the moths.

Find a moth and use Lumos to have them follow you. Go back to the locked door and you should be able to open the door as the moth automatically opens it when it goes into the door.

Proceeding through the cave, you will come across another locked door.

This time, you will need to find 3 moths and use them to open the door. You can find one here, on the left side of the room when you enter.

There is another on the right side of the room, just opposite of the first moth.

The third moth can be found behind a door. However, it is unable to be opened by normal means. Use the Depulso spell to force the door open, revealing the third moth.

Use Lumos to guide the moths one by one to open the door.

In the next room, you will encounter the Inferi enemies.

These undead creatures will not take any damage unless they are on fire. Use spells like Incedio and your environment to douse them in flames and then start attacking them afterward.

Defeat them and continue deeper into the cave.

In the next room, you will need to unlock another door. There is a moth on the left side of the room as soon as you enter.

There is also another moth on the right side of the room from where you came in. However, you cannot put that moth into the door yet, as the third one is nowhere to be found.

There is a mechanism in the middle of the room that will function as soon as a moth is inside.

Once the mechanism is working, use Depulso two times to summon a platform off the wall. This will allow you to climb up and find the third moth, which is right there on another floor.

Once you have successfully brought the third moth to the door, go back for the second moth and bring it to the door to open it, allowing you to continue.

In the next room, you will find yourself with no other way to continue, unless you look down and see that there is an almost destroyed grate that leads to somewhere else.

Look up and you will see some heavy objects above it. Hit it with Stupefy and it will come crashing down on the grate, revealing a new way forward (or deeper, in this case).

Continue deeper into the cave until you reach this large area. Inferi will spawn and start attacking you. Defeat them to get some peace and quiet as you try to solve the next puzzle.

After defeating the enemies, look for the first moth (which is on the left when you first enter) and bring it here. You’ll need it for later.

Get on the platform and use Depulso to get the platform up. Keep hitting it multiple times until you can jump to the area on the left.

Get the moth here and bring it to the door.

Remember the first moth we got where we placed it on another thing that holds the moths?

Hit the mechanism with Depulso as much as you can and sprint to this ledge on the right. You can find the platform for that is also rising. Use Lumos to quickly get the moth and place it in the door.

The last moth can be found next to the door. Don’t worry about the moth that’s stuck in the mechanism. It’s just going to chill there forever.

Once inside the tomb, approach the sarcophagus and the objective will be completed.
