To make it more personal and interesting, potions are actually meant to be made and brewed by you. From learning the recipes to collecting the ingredients to brewing the potion, all of the work should be done by you.

The game actually gives you your own room that you can use as your own laboratory. It’s also where you can brew your potions. This is the Room of Requirement.

But before you can start brewing, you must first have your own Potion Station. To do that, simply go to Hogsmeade and look for the Tomes and Scrolls shop.

As you arrive at the shop, you can buy either the T-Shaped Potions Station Spellcraft or the Medium Potions Station Spellcraft.

This decision is very subjective, and you can pick any of the two depending on how you want to style your area.

To conjure the stations, use your Conjuration spell, select the Potions category, then pick Potions Stations. Just pick whatever station you have there that you want to place and look for the perfect spot in your area.

Of course, after you successfully conjured your Potion Station, the next step is to try using it. However, you can’t brew a potion if the recipe is not yet learned.

Again, head to Hogsmeade and look for the J. Pippin’s Potions shop.

Talk to the store owner and browse his shop. There are three categories in his shop: Recipes, Ingredients, and Combat Tools.

The recipes category won’t show on the store if you already have them. But during your early playthrough, you can buy the recipes here.

Once you have the recipes, you can start brewing potions by approaching and interacting with the stations that have an empty cauldron.

Provided that you have the necessary ingredients, choose the potion you want to brew, and wait for the required time before you can collect it.
