Climb up the South Face of the Mountain – Horizon Forbidden West

One of the objectives you will encounter in the Signal Spike quest is to climb up the south face of the mountain. You will start off from the camp, so head up the mountain to the south until you see the tree below that you can push.

Use the tree as a bridge to cross the gap and climb up the ledge. Always scan to see where you can climb. Head to the south again and you should find a rock that has multiple ledges you can climb on.

Jump to the ledge in the photo above and keep climbing the ledges going up. Scanning the area will highlight the ledges you can jump on.

You should reach an area with gaps so jump across them until you reach the mountain with icicles on the side.

Go to the right and climb the ledges again, jumping to the gap to your left. Jump across the gaps and quickly hook on the yellow marker in the photo above. From here, follow the ledges on your right and be prepared to kill the machines.

Once you defeat the enemies, continue climbing up the mountain to your left. Keep climbing the ledges, switching from left to right when you reach a dead-end and you should reach another yellow marker for your hook.

You can now climb up the small platform and reacquire the signal to complete the objective.
