Ever looked at any of the Harry Potter characters in the books and movies and thought, “Damn, I would look good if I were a wizard!”
For a long time now, Harry Potter games were usually about the titular character himself, or just about other characters. Rarely do we have a game that allows you to customize your character. We had Hogwarts Mystery, but it wasn’t all that impressive.
But with Hogwarts Legacy, we get to fully customize our character, including their clothes. Here’s a guide on how you can change your gear appearance.
Hogwarts Legacy – How to Change Gear Appearance
Go to the Gear Tab and Select Which Gear You Want to Change
Hogwarts Legacy has a gear system, meaning that any piece of gear you have equipped on your character will have stats. This usually means that whenever you have gear that is better than the last, you put it on.
Unfortunately, there are times when the gear is so ugly, it makes your character look like a clown. Thankfully, Hogwarts Legacy nipped this problem in the bud.
In the Gear tab, select what gear you want to change and press Square (or X on Xbox).
You will then be shown a list of appearances you can change your gear into. This is essentially the transmog system, a popular feature in games where you can change the appearance of your gear without having to worry about the stats.
Find whatever appearance you want and change it. Simple as that.
Huge thanks to WoW Quests for the information on how to change your gear appearance. If you want to see a more visual guide, then you can check out their YouTube channel.
