In The Front, securing a stable supply of crude oil is a key task. This resource is crucial in the game, but in the early stages, it’s not exactly raining down on us. Without delay, let’s tackle this guide on how to efficiently farm more crude oil in the game.
How To Farm Crude Oil
Crude oil, as its description suggests, can be used in Pyrolyzers to craft gasoline and polymers, and it is one of the most important resources in the game.
To start, you’ll want to construct a simple oil well and a Manual miner. Now, sit on the manual miner to start collecting oil. This should be sufficient to cover most of your initial quests and basic building recipes. You’ll need to continue this method until you reach about level 28.
Once you hit that level, it’s time to unlock the Tech upgrade for the simple oil well. This upgrade transforms your standard oil well into a powerhouse.
Be careful, though, as you can only build one of these upgraded oil wells, so don’t go overboard like making two of them. Set up a generator, run some wires, and power it up just like any other structure.
To access this upgrade, navigate to the Tech tree and scroll down to the Structures section. It’s a bit deeper into the tree, so you’ll need to reach the late level 20’s to unlock it.
With your upgraded oil well in place and fueled with gasoline, it’ll automatically harvest oil for you over time. It’s a straightforward process that’ll keep your oil supply flowing smoothly.
This method is both quick and easy, allowing you to get back to the game with a reliable source of crude oil in The Front. I hope I was able to help you out. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask them in the comments below.
