There’s plenty of resources that can be found while you’re out exploring the Overland, but the problems lie in where you try to find them, and what should you expect before even getting close to acquiring them.
Another problem is the question of why you even need bones in the first place. All of your questions will be answered as soon as you start exploring the southern parts of the map, travel all the way there and you’ll be one step closer to getting yourself some bones!
Smalland – How To Get Bones
Getting your hands on some bones is as easy as traveling to the beach biome of the map, you know south of where your spawn point is!
Just follow the river and you’ll get there in a matter of minutes, you can even pick up a few pieces of flint along the way.
Once you’re at the beach find the closest Gecko and pull out your sword, they won’t be giving these to you without a fight. There are plenty of them around the biome so if you’re hurting for a big supply then you might as well eradicate everything that’s crawling within your vicinity.
As a bonus, you’ll also get the Herptile Hide upon slaying the beast. These items can be used for crafting bone armor, one of the strongest pieces of equipment you’ll get your hands on later in the game.
You can also tame the geckos if you’ve crafted the right treat and have it sit in your inventory.
And that’s how you get bones in Smalland!
Remember, the Gecko can be easily fought as long as you don’t aggro other nearby creatures like the beetles so keep the fight on the easy side of things if you know what’s good for you!
