Hogwarts Legacy is out and so are its players as they’re all busy exploring the highs and lows of the school grounds. Not everyone is looking around aimlessly though, other spirited practitioners are on a quest for funny looking hats! Or just fancy clothing in general, who knows. Given how enormous the school grounds are it’s obvious at this point that you won’t be finding everything in one go like the Whimsical Night Cap. Well that’s where you’re wrong, what you’re looking for is closer than you think. Let’s go for a walk around the campus shall we?

Hogwarts Legacy | How to Get Whimsical Night Cap

The chest containing the cap is carefully tucked away somewhere on the overworld, you may have already found it at this point if you’re an explorer yourself but if you haven’t then you might as well let go of your broom first. You won’t be needing it for now!

If you’re in the process of doing the Venemous Valor side quest then you need to find the Hidden Herbology class. You can do this by going to the Hidden Herbology corridor located on the school grounds. Take a right when you’re near the building.

Go off the path and to the back of the building, you will find an opening that leads to a dead end around the back of the building. You should be able to find the chest there that has the Whimsical Night Cap, another legendary gear.

And that’s it! The hat you were looking for was right under everyone’s noses all along. You can also find this hat in Gladrags Wizardwear in Hogsmeade Valley for 500 gold. The stats greatly differ compared to the one you can pull out of the chest so if defense is what you’re after and not an expensive bedtime costume then you’ll know just where to look.

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
