If you’re looking to level up your professions quickly in Rune Slayer, you’re in the right place. Whether you’re chasing better gear, passive buffs, or just want that flex-worthy “maxed out” title, this guide will walk you through how to level up Mining, Harvesting, Forging (Woodcutting), and Herbalist as efficiently as possible.
With the right tools—and a bit of grinding—you can hit high levels in just a few days.
Some players use macro tools like TinyTask to automate the grind. While it’s commonly used, it can break Roblox’s Terms of Service or Rune Slayer’s game rules. Use it at your own risk and make sure to check community guidelines so you don’t get banned.
Maxing Out Professions EASILY in Rune Slayer
Before you even start the grind, make sure you have:
- Cobalt Tools – These include the Cobalt Pickaxe, Axe, and Sickle. They’re essential for chopping, mining, and harvesting at max speed.
- (Optional) Macro tools – Things like TinyTask can help automate repetitive clicks if you’re comfortable using them. Just be careful, as mentioned above.
Mining: Zirc & Cobalt Are the Way

Mining is one of the fastest professions to level—if you know where to go.
- Zirc Ore (a.k.a. “Zerk”) is found on its own island. It respawns fast, which makes it perfect for semi-AFK farming.
- Cobalt Ore, which you’ll find in caves and the Tundra, gives around 175 XP per node. It’s the better choice if you’re actively grinding.
Neither of these ores drops gold, but the XP is worth it. Run loops and you’ll be flying through levels.
Harvesting: Find the Clusters
When it comes to Harvesting, your best bet is to stick to dense zones where plants spawn close together.
- Use your Cobalt Sickle and focus on low-risk, high-density areas. Less running, more gathering.
Forging (Woodcutting): Palm Trees All Day
To level Forging, the most efficient (and chill) way is by farming Palm Trees.
- They’re easy to find in the overworld, respawn quickly, and don’t deal any weird damage while you’re semi-AFK.
- Frost Pine in the Tundra gives a little more XP, but it can cause frostbite damage—so it’s not great if you’re multitasking or walking away.
Stick to Palm Trees if you want a consistent and safe grind.
Herbalist: Skip the Quests

If you’re leveling up Herbalist, skip the quests. Seriously.
- Most quests give less than 500 XP, which is barely worth the effort.
- Instead, manually gather herbs and fruits—like coconuts—in high-density zones using your Cobalt Sickle.
- Walk in loops, stay active, and you’ll get solid progress without the quest grind.
What About Fishing?
Fishing is… rough.
- It’s super slow, totally manual, and gives tiny XP gains.
- There’s no macro or AFK method that works right now.
- If you really want to max it, just be ready for a hands-on, time-consuming grind.
Professions in Rune Slayer don’t have to be a pain to level. Once you’ve got your Cobalt gear, the process gets a whole lot smoother. Professions like Mining and Forging can be leveled up almost effortlessly by farming Zirc, Cobalt, or Palm Trees. Meanwhile, Harvesting and Herbalist might take a bit more planning, but with good routing and persistence, they’re totally doable. Just remember: you don’t have to do it all at once. Set a pace that works for you, stay efficient, and you’ll hit max in no time. Want to know more? Learn how to progress from level 0 to 50 in Rune Slayer easily! Check out my quick guide before you go.
