Companions are unique characters that you can hire in Bannerlord. They will complete quests for you or help you with other stuff. They are a little bit expensive, but they are highly experienced and valued more than the soldiers. Bannerlord – How To Recruit Companions In Mount & Blade 2
First, go to the major city and enter a Tavern District. Then, go talk to the Tavern Keeper and tell him to find people with specific skills. Then, continue to chat with the Tavern Keeper and select what type you like and what to do.
Once you finish your chat with Tavern Keeper, he will provide you with a location, and you need to head there to recruit companions. Once you arrive at your destination, choose “Go to the tavern district,” and there you will see your Companion.
The companions can move to another place sometimes, so make sure to make it quick to the destination that the Tavern Keeper will provide you with. Talk to the Companion, pay him, and he will do his job.
