Video games nowadays have auto-save feature to lessen the hassle to the gamers. Although it doesn’t work that way in other games, especially in survival horror games where you need to craft and build your own home first to be able to sleep and save the game.
It’s not really a bad thing because the game challenges you to do it, and if you forgot to do it, then say goodbye to all of your hard work.
So, today, we’re going to guide you on how to save your game in Sons of the Forest.
How To Save Game
The first thing you’re going to do when you get spawn into a world is that you need to gather a tarp and a stick. They can be found at the place where you got spawned to.
Remember that your spawn point varies because it is truly random. Don’t assume that it will be safe either.
And once you’ve gathered some sticks and a tarp, you’ll need to access your crafting menu, equip the tarp and place it on the ground.
Once you see an interaction like an arrow up that’s the time it’s going to build a tent for you.
And as you get closer to the tent, you’ll see two options there: “E” for saving the game, and “Z” for sleeping.
I’m fairly certain that if there are enemies nearby, you won’t be able to save the game. As for sleeping, as far as I can tell, if there’s a threat nearby, your character will wake up, and you’ll need to defend yourself against some enemies before you can fall back asleep.
Just a pro tip, guys! Always save the game when you feel that something bad is gonna happen in the game. It’s way better to be safe than sorry ‘cuz you’ll lose a lot of progress when you die.
