The Forest is an open-world, survival horror game, with an emphasis on survival. You are stuck on an island that is seemingly 90% forest, which means it’s hard to see what’s in distance.
Is it a person? Or a tree? Why did it move? Is it the wind moving it? All of these questions just add to your anxiety, making you fear what happens if whatever in the forest will do to you if you approach.
Luckily, you can save your game before you do anything else, and we will show you how.
The Forest – How to Save your Game?
It’s important to save your game when you make important progress in The Forest to avoid losing it.
You never know when the power goes out, you get attacked by cannibals or creepy mutants, or maybe even die just from doing something stupid like jumping off a tall platform that you thought you could handle because “it doesn’t look that high” (fall damage sucks).
To save your game, you need to go to any shelter that you have. Whether it’s a crashed plane, a house, or a campsite.
You don’t need to have every single person in your game save if you’re playing with friends. The save feature will only save your progress.
