You get to pick from a variety of classes when you play Elden Ring Nightreign. Every class features its own unique skills that make your experience in each expedition very different. These classes are known as Nightfarers, and you get to pick from 8 of them. However, two of these classes are actually hidden and you need to unlock them. One of these hidden Nightfarers is the Revenant class. Struggling to figure out how to unlock it? Not to worry, we have you covered! In this guide, we’ll show you how you can unlock the Revenant class. Without further delay, let’s get into it!

How to Unlock Revenant Class

Here is a breakdown of all the steps you need to follow to unlock the Revenant class in Elden Ring Nightreign:

  • Unlock the Duchess class
  • Purchase the Besmirched Frame from the Small Jar Bazaar
  • Interact with the Phantom in the Roundtable Hold
  • Defeat the Revenant in the boss fight
  • Unlock the Revenant as a playable character.

Unlock The Duchess

Before you can get to unlocking the Revenant, you actually need to unlock the Duchess first. The Duchess is the first of the two hidden classes in Elden Ring Nightreign.

If you haven’t unlocked her yet, you might want to check out our detailed how to unlock duchess guide.

Besides that, we can also give you a small run down of all the steps you need to follow to unlock her:

  • Obtain the Old Pocketwatch, either by defeating Gladius Beast Of Night or as a random expedition reward
  • Go to the Priestess in the Roundtable Hold
  • Show her the Old Pocketwatch and activate the cutscene.

Once you return to the Roundtable Hold, you should be able to select the Duchess as a Nightfarer.

Purchase The Besmirched Frame

Once you unlock the Duchess, head to the Small Jar Bazaar NPC. You can find him in the Roundtable Hold and can even use your map to navigate to him.

Interact with the NPC and look at his wares. You should see that a new Relic is now available to purchase known as the Besmirched Frame. It will cost you 1500 Murk, which you will likely have at this point.

Touch The Phantom

After the purchase, open your map and you should see an exclamation mark on the Roundtable Hold map. Head to the exclamation mark, which is a small room next to the main table.

Here, you should see that a Phantom has appeared. Before you interact with the Phantom, we recommend being prepared. This is because you will be teleported to a boss battle area.

We recommend that you use the Raider or Wylder class when fighting her. This is because the boss has three summons which can be quite difficult to fight. Having someone with a lot of HP can make the battle easier.

So, in this case, we recommend that you avoid using the Duchess or Recluse because they have low health.

Also, you do not have to worry about dying or losing some progress. You will have an unlimited number of tries to defeat the boss.

Once you’re ready for the fight, interact with the Phantom and select the ‘Yes‘ option. This will transport you to the boss arena.

Defeat The Revenant

After you arrive at the boss arena, approach the Revenant to begin the fight. Be warned that the Revenant summons three Spirit Ashes to join her in battle. They can group on you at once which can make the fight quite difficult.

There are two strategies that you can utilize to defeat the Revenant easily:

  • Rush the Revenant two handed weapons or skills since she has low HP
    • Ignore her summons with this strategy or try to dodge around them
  • Pick off her summons one by one
    • You can use a ranged character like Iron Eye to do this from a distance
    • Recommended order of killing summons:
      • Sword Fighter
      • Giant Skeleton
      • Pumpkin Head.

The Revenant herself does not have much HP but she can be a dangerous foe. You will need to be careful of her spinning discs that can do a lot of damage from range. Quite often, you’ll find yourself dodging them.

With these strategies, you should have an easier time with her. Whatever strategy you opt to use, once the Revenant is defeated return to the Roundtable Hold.

Unlock The Revenant

Once you’ve defeated the Revenant, return to the Roundtable Hold. You will now be able to select the Revenant from your list of Nightfarers.

The Revenant offers the following skills in Elden Ring Nighreign:

  • Necromancy (Passive)
    • Raise enemy ghosts to fight as allies
    • This ability triggers when you land the final hit on enemies
    • Suitable for solo players as it will take the enemy’s attention away from you
  • Summon Spirit
    • Uses the lyre to summon her family
    • The allies you can choose to summon are Helen the agile page, Frederick the burly cook, or Sebastian the doting butler
    • These are the same allies you fight in the Revenant boss battle
  • Immortal March (Ultimate)
    • Does an AoE scream that protects all party members and makes them immortal
    • Allies can still take damage but fatal blows will just take their health to one HP
    • Downed allies in the vicinity will be revived and will also become immortal
    • Incredibly useful for clutch situations.

The Revenant acts as a summoner class in Elden Ring Nightreign. Her main use is to support allies by protecting them using her summons. She does not have any preference towards a particular weapon.

She is one of the classes with the lowest HP. So, you want to make sure that you stick close your team so they can protect you.

The Revenant unlock

That’s everything you need to know about how to unlock the Revenant class in Elden Ring Nightreign. As you can see, she can be quite difficult to unlock since her boss fight is quite challenging. But we strongly suggest you get her as doing so will give you access to all 8 Nightfarers. This will help you determine which class is suitable for your play style!
