In Hogwarts Legacy, you can meet people that you can call friends. These people will help shape you to become a servant of the Light or a follower of the Dark. It’s important to know which side you will be choosing from the beginning because the game will make you choose very early on.
There are certain quests that also help influence you in the game. One of those is In the Shadow of the Undercroft. if you want to learn how this quest works, then follow this guide and we will show you how.
Hogwarts Legacy – In the Shadow of the Undercoft Objective
Step 1: Meet with Sebastian
To start this quest off, you will need to meet with Sebastian near the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom at night.
If you go there during the day, then the game will give you the option to fast-forward time by waiting near him.
When you meet with Sebastian, you two will share a brief conversation before moving to a more secure spot.
Follow the marker and you will be led to an entrance to the Undercroft.
Step 2: Inside the Undercroft
Once inside the Undercroft, you can freely explore the room while Sebastian talks. Eventually, your objective will change and you will need to talk to Sebastian.
Talk to Sebastian and he will teach you how to use the Confringo spell.
Once the conversation ends, you will be doing a minigame in order to learn the spell. Simply move the thumbstick around in a Z formation, all while pressing the buttons when you reach them, in order to learn the spell.
Now that you have learned Confringo, you will need to first equip the spell before you can practice casting it.
Practice as much as you want with the spell and you will then have to talk to Sebastian. It’s a very long talk, almost a minute or two.
After the talk, you are then free to leave the Undercroft.
Stepping outside of the Undercroft, you will run into Ominis Gaunt. You can choose whichever dialogue option you want. It won’t really matter as Ominis will tell you to keep quiet about the Undercroft. After the conversation, the quest ends.
