Elden Ring Nightreign just got released recently, and it features a unique spin on the typical FromSoft formula as it turns the familiar Elden Ring gameplay into a cooperative roguelike experience. Regardless of the current criticisms about the game’s systems and how it deviates from the norm, the other half of the fanbase has been enjoying their time with it.
If you are a part of the latter, then we will give you some advice on how to play as the Ironeye class so you can hop in and enjoy it too!
Ironeye Complete Guide for Elden Ring Nightreign
The Ironeye nightfarer is the archer class of Elden Ring Nightreign, and fans of the developers can breathe a sigh of relief because they actually seemingly nailed the ranged combat in this iteration of Elden Ring. If you are a fan of using the bow and arrow, then this class is going to be perfect for you.
It has the passive ability called Eagle Eye, which says that it makes you more “observant” and allows you to discover more items from fallen foes. This increases the chances of enemies dropping items on death, and this effect works for your teammates as well.
It is not the best ability ever, but it can come in handy in extreme situations. Eagle Eye is not something you need to think about much, so let us focus more on his other, more important abilities.
This class has the Marking ability, which causes you to dash around and mark enemies with your dagger. This leaves a red X icon on affected targets, which indicates that they have been marked. Upon dealing damage to them, they will take additional damage.
Because of its low cooldown and highly impactful effect, you should definitely be using it as frequently as possible, especially when faced with a boss enemy. This is one of the reasons why this class is considered to be fairly overpowered, and you can even use it as a mere dash for mobility!

One thing to note about the mark is that it seemingly lasts longer with sustained damage, and it will eventually detonate. When this happens, the target will take a large burst of damage while removing the mark in the process.
The class also has the Single Shot ultimate art, which makes you fire an incredibly strong arrow shot that deals a ton of damage. Despite its name, it actually works particularly well against large groups of enemies.
If you find yourself getting overwhelmed a bit, use it to cut through a huge mob of enemies. It will obliterate everything in its path until it reaches its target. Otherwise, just use it on bosses for a huge burst of damage. If you can mark the boss first, then do that before shooting!

So to sum it up, here are some tips to consider with these abilities in mind and the general strengths of the class:
- Use your marking skill as much as you possibly can, especially against tough enemies. As long as your teammates focus affected targets with you, they will melt in no time.
- You can use the marking ability as a defensive tool as it can act as an additional dash. It is always good to have an additional escape ready!
- Single shot can be great for more than just tough enemies, so do not shy away from using it if you find yourself in a tough spot.
- This one is more of a general tip, but watch your stamina, as you can exhaust your resources quickly by rapid firing your bow. This is because you do not use ammunition, so it can be tempting to just fire away nonstop.
- Try to get your teammates to take the aggro for you, because you are not exactly built for tanking. If you are playing solo, well, you will simply have to get good.
That is really all you need to know in order to get started with the ironeye class of the game, which is considered to be one of the better ones at the moment, at least according to those who have been playing it for a while now.
