Isonzo: Class Guide | Which Class Is For You?

Avanti Savoia!

The new game from the developers of Verdun and Tannenberg is here and it’s a game called Isonzo! The game is named after the many historical battles of Isonzo in World War 1 and thus the game feature many weapons from both World War 1 Era Kingdom of Italy and Austro-Hungarian Empire. The developers have developed a great balance between arcade-style shooters and realistic-shooters and it’s also exhibited in the game Isonzo. There’s also a bunch of different classes you can choose from and in this guide, we’ll show you each one so you can choose what’s great for you!

Which Class Is For You? | Isonzo: Class Guide

Isonzo features a class system with different weapons, perks and items in their arsenal. Not only that but both sides have their own different weapons and items to choose from and for the sake of brevity we won’t be going through every single gun out there. Here are the many classes of Isonzo that the player can choose and hopefully this guide will help you choose yourself!

Rifleman

Stock standard rifleman for those who like white bread, water and shooting enemies in video games. The rifleman in Isonzo features multiple different rifles. Some focus on precision, some with bayonets and at least one rifle that can shoot grenades. They can also offer ammunition to other players and can build ammo boxes for the team making them a great all-rounder.

Assault

The Assault class is not something new in video games, but it was fairly new at that time period. A rapid advancing unit that can lay down tons of fire wasn’t common in the trench-warfare dominated World War 1. The Assault class in the game features your standard rifles, but also Light Machine Guns that you can unlock whilst playing. They also have plenty of grenades making it a great class to push objectives.

Engineer

The Engineer is a support class that can make a lot of structures in the game. From sandbags, barbed wire and rifle shields, this class is for the players who like to defend points or make strongpoints at the frontline. They also have ways to destroy other structures made by enemy engineers and make static weapons for the team.

Mountaineer

Information is the key and the mountaineer class is there to get information for the team. They have binoculars to spot enemies and enemy structures. They also have a flare gun that can help the officer class which we’ll cover next. Also, they can even give buffs to players with their bugles.

Officer

The officer class is there to support players with buffs, lower their respawn timer and even call-in support like gas attacks and artillery barrages. They can use their flare gun to call upon these support abilities on the map. That’s why the mountaineer can help the officer class since their flares can be used for the officer’s abilities as well.

Marksman

The Marksman class is the class for those who either like long range support, or frontline attacks as a designated marksman. This class can have rifles with scopes or rifles that don’t and have precision rifles to take out high value targets like officers that are calling barrages at your team mates or assaults that are locking down a chokepoint.

Congratulations you now know all of the classes in Isonzo, now go out there and try out all of them and enjoy the game!

Many thanks to Boomstick Gaming for showing how the classes work. If you want a more in-depth look on their perks and weapons then go check their video out here: ISONZO | CLASS GUIDE – Which Role Fits Your Playstyle? – YouTube.
