The latest “Nothing” update of Jujutsu Shenanigans introduced various changes to the game, including a new move for Mahito’s Perfection form. Alongside this change, they also made Megumi available to the public, but more on that down below. With that said, this guide will show you how the new Idle Transfiguration move for Mahito works!

How to Use Mahito’s New Move (Idle Transfiguration) in Latest Update

Okay, so this new Idle Transfiguration move seems to be confusing a lot of people, even content creators who just picked it up recently. This is mainly due to how there is a “HIT TWICE” note right under the ability’s hotkey.

Before we go around to explaining what that means exactly, let’s quickly talk about the move itself. Basically, upon casting Idle Transfiguration, your character will dash forward and very briefly grab an enemy before getting thrown back.

Now, there are two different functions with this ability. This is where the “HIT TWICE” note comes in, as it will have a different effect on your target depending on how many hits you have landed with it.

The first hit will deal a bit of damage and remove one of the target’s moves. If you land it successfully, you will be flung away and your opponent will be missing one of their skills until they respawn (unconfirmed if there are ways to bring it back).

The second hit on the same target is where it gets juicy. Basically, if you land another hit on the same person, their head will explode after a brief moment. This is a reference to a certain character’s death in Jujutsu Kaisen, and I won’t spoil who it is if you haven’t been caught up yet.

It is said that this ability can also instantly kill enemies with very low HP, though there is a lot of conflicting information regarding this and the developer has not explained how exactly it works as of writing this.

This may be a coincidence, though, due to how people are also reporting that two Mahito users can essentially trigger the second hit effect by simply hitting the same target with Idle Transfiguration once each.

What this essentially implies is that if somebody is already affected by the first hit effect, which is move removal, then you can steal their kill by hitting your own Idle Transfiguration and instantly killing the target.

This also means that teams of two Mahito users can simply cheese fights by jumping a single target with consecutive Idle Transfiguration hits. This is a bit silly and OP, especially considering that the ability has a long cooldown to compensate for the one shot potential.

Watch out for people dashing around with purple energy on their hands and you should be fine, though. It really isn’t that hard to dodge if you pay close attention.

Overall, it does seem to be a bit of a gimmicky new ability that can be fun to use, but likely not all that practical in a real fight due to its long cooldown. You are probably better off relying on the base Mahito to get things done.

And that is pretty much everything we know so far about how the new Idle Transfiguration ability works in the game. While you are here, check out our guide on how to counter Megumi users in Jujutsu Shenanigans as more people will be using it now that it is a free character.
