In game time is often different compared to real life. After all, does anyone want to wait until night time for a mission? No, which is why we have dynamic day and night cycle in video games that usually take around 30 minutes for it to change time. Either that, or you can go to a safe house and sleep until it’s night. In Kynseed, it’s the same. But did you know that you can tweak some code and change how fast time will move? In this guide, we will show you how.
How To Change The Rate Of In-Game Time – Kynseed
Edit the Config1.xml File
To increase how fast time will go in your game, you will need to edit the Config1.xml file. For this, you will need a program like Notepad++, but the standard Notepad app can work. Follow these steps to edit the file:
- Go to where you installed Kynseed
- In the Data folder, find the Config1.xml file
- Open it with Notepad++ or Notepad
- In the xml file, press Ctrl + F and search for SECONDS_IN_HOUR_GAMETIME
- When you find the line, you should see <string>48</string>
This line means that one in game hour passes in the game in 48 seconds. Change the 48 seconds to whatever value you want. Whether it’s 60 or even 6, the choice is up to you.
- Once you have made your changes, press Ctrl + S to save the file
- Launch Kynseed and check if the changes are noticeable
