Dive into another world of farming with Lightyear Frontier. This game offers open world gameplay and it isn’t set on your typical planet called earth. You can farm on a planet located at the far edge of the galaxy with 3 of your friends and build a comfortable homestead for yourself.
Now, let’s explore the unknown of this planet and acquire the Blue Lens
How To Get Blue Lens
A lens needs its crystal so for the blue lens, you’ll need to find an appropriate crystal for it. Specifically, a blue crystal. Here, I’ll tell you how and where to find one.
- Build a grinder and a furnace;
- Head to the Yellow Forest;
- Acquire Zapper twig seeds and a blue crystal to craft the Blue Lens;
- Craft some zapper twig oil;
- Use your equipment to create the Blue Lens.
Let’s look at a comprehensive guide on how to achieve each one of these.
First to Build a Grinder and a Furnace
The first step to getting a Blue Lens is building a grinder. This grinder is essential to our cause as it lets you turn the raw materials into a freshly made Lens, which is just what we’re looking for.
The first resource required is some Copper. You can find some copper in Edge Cliffs, specifically somewhere around the circled area in the image given.
Once you find your copper, you’ll need to make some Copper Wire out of it. Take your copper to the assembler. You’ll see a bunch of highlighted and dimmed parts, indicating which ones you’ve collected already, and which ones are yet to be found/crafted.
Scroll down and you’ll see copper wire. The next screen will show some equipment that can be created with copper wire. Once you create the copper wire, you’ll unlock the ability to craft a grinder.
So go ahead and click “Construct”. Place it in a position that suits you best and looks cool enough for you since you are building your own workspace.
Once you’ve unlocked the grinder, go over to it and interact with your new equipment. You’ll see some recipes for red crystal dust, blue crystal dust, stone dust and some noxious spore.
Go ahead, press Blue Crystal Dust and on another window, you’ll see what can be created with this crystal dust. The name is pretty self-explanatory but we learn here that the recipe for blue crystal dust needs a single crystal.
It gets a little complicated but don’t worry. I’ll walk you through it. The blue crystal dust is not the only relevant resource on the list. We also need some stone dust. You need the stone dust to create a furnace.
The furnace is another necessary equipment because it will turn the dust into the glass that we need.
So to sum this up, it goes like this:
Blue Crystals (from the yellow forest) —> Blue Crystal Dust (through the grinder) —>Blue Glass (through the furnace) —> Blue Lens (through the assembler)
Luckily for you, to create the stone dust, all you need is a single stone. If you’ve just started playing this game, you’ll notice that stones are in great abundance and can be found literally anywhere on the map.
Now that we have all required equipment in check and ready, it’s time to leave your workspace and head out into an adventure in the Yellow Forest to collect some blue crystals.
Travel to the Yellow Forest
As you can see in the image above, the yellow forest is on the east side of the map and can be found when passing through the Meadow.
It’s extremely easy to spot because the entire forest, as the name implies, is fully yellow!
Head to the inner depths of the forest and you’ll find lots of blue crystals that look just like they’re made from ice. Equip your Spike Saw and start mining the crystal. It only takes a couple of hits to acquire the crystal.
Look around the forest and you’ll also find some zapper twig seeds within the biome. It will look like a thunderbolt in the ground and you can suck it up with your vacuum.
Craft some Zapper Twig Oil
To craft some zapper twig oil, you will first need to plant your zapper twig seeds in a plantation and wait for them to grow into zapper twigs.
Once they’ve grown and ready to harvest, collect them and take them to your oil press.
You’ll need 5 zapper twigs oil in order to create your Blue Lens. Add them to the queue, so they can all be pressed in the oil presser. Once you’ve collected enough, it’s to move on to the next and final steps!
Time to get to work and start using your equipment
After you’ve made your furnace, go up to it and start crafting some blue glass.
Finally, to wrap it up, head over to your assembler and you’ll see the blue lens available and ready to get crafted if you have all your necessary resources. Click on it to craft and you’ve just acquired a Blue Lens!
