Lightyear Frontier brings you farming to another planet in the galaxy. The game is open-world where you can explore, build a home, craft, farm and even have your friends tag along to join you in an adventure of the unknown.
We all know there can be no farming without the essentials, so let’s learn how to refill your watering tool so you can get back to nourishing your alien crops.
How To Refill Watering Tool
Your crops need water to grow, and it isn’t a farming game without water. So, it’s safe to say that this step is one of the most essential tasks in Lightyear Frontier, so you can grow your crops. That being said, let’s look at how to fill up your watering tool.
- Look for a water source;
- Equip your vacuum harvester;
- Suck up the water into your vacuum.

Let’s Get Started
First, we need to look for a water source. Luckily for you, the map is filled with them. So what you need to do is turn on your map and it’s going to show you little ponds just like the ones in the image below.
We’ve marked every water source in the meadow and you can head to the closest one to where you are at or to your homestead.
(NOTE: Before you start collecting your water, don’t forget to collect any crates you see in the area! These crates will typically be equipped with just the type of guns or equipment you might need to use in that area.)
Next, equip your Vacuum Harvester (If you don’t already have that, like I mentioned earlier, you might find them in one of the crates.) You can then interact with the pond and suck up enough water to fill.
You can determine that your vacuum is filled with the blue gauge at the bottom of your screen. You’ll notice the bars gradually getting filled with blue. So there you have it!
And once you switch back to your Cannon, you’ll see that it is maxed with all the water you need. If it ever runs out, the process is so simple, you can go back and fill it again with ease!
