Limbus Company – Status Effects Guide

So you’re playing a video game and an enemy attacks you, the skill or attack hits and there’s a small image next to the health bar. What does that mean? Should you be worried? Why are you suddenly dead, what happened? These questions wouldn’t be asked if you knew your Status Effects in video games!

In Limbus Company there are a lot of different status effects, and most of them have some complex stuff going on so in this guide we’ll show you all the status effects you can get in the game!

Status Effects Guide For Limbus Company

Limbus Company can be a complex game with all sorts of mechanics that you need to know in battles. Even the battles themselves can be quite complex and in our combat guide, we go through how complex it can be for the game.

If you get the hang of it though it can get pretty easy, then you learn about status effects. There are a lot of them, so here’s a reference for you of all the status effects in the game and what they do:

  • Bleed – Take fixed damage when tossing an attack coin, then reduces the count by 1.
  • Paralyze – Power of X coins turns to 0 for one turn.
  • Rupture – When hit, take fixed damage, then reduce the count by 1.
  • Damage-down – Deals less damage for one turn, a maximum of 10 stacks.
  • Damage Up – same us damage down…but up, so deal more damage. Maximum of 10 stacks.
  • Attack Power Up – Attack skills gain final power by the effect’s potency.
  • Attack Power Down – Same as attack power up…but down, so attack skills’ final power goes down for one turn.
  • Offense Level-down – Offense level decreased for one turn.
  • Poise – Gain potency-based chance to deal critical damage on hit, reduces count by 1 if successful. At the end of the turn reduces the count by 1.
  • Tremor – When attacked by skills that burst Tremor, raise the staggering threshold, and at the end of the turn reduce the count by 1.
  • Defense Power Up – Defense skills gain final power by the effect’s potency for one turn.
  • Defense Power Down – Opposite of the one above.
  • Sinking – When hit, take fixed SP damage by effect’s potency then reduces count by 1. Applies as gloom-affinity damage to abnormalities.
  • Protect – Take less damage from skills based on the effect’s potency for one turn, a max stack of 10.
  • Sin/DMG Fragility – Take more damage from sin/dmg skills based on the effect’s potency for one turn, a max stack of 10.
  • Charge – Resources used by certain skills for additional effects. The count can go up to 20, and at the end of the turn lowers by 1.
  • Burn – At the end of the turn take fixed damage by the effect’s potency. Then reduce its count by 1.
  • Bind – Speed Increased by the effect’s potency for one turn.
  • Curse – Self-apply 1 of the following at turn end: 1 Attack Power Down/ 1 Defense Power Down/ 1 Offense Level Down/ 1 Defense Down, then reduce the count by 1.
  • Poison – Take fixed damage by the count at end of the turn, then halve the count.
  • Surgery – Die when Ptency reaches 5. Reduce Max HP by 20% per Potency. Deal 20% more damage per potency. At the start of the turn, self-apply haste by the effect’s potency.
  • Nails – At the start of the Turn, gain 1 bleed and increase the bleed count by this effect’s count. At the end of the turn, halve the count.
  • Fanatic – Raise skill final power by the effect’s count against units with nails.
  • Maggots – Take gluttony damage by the count at the end of the turn, then lower the count by 1; bleed count +1.
