Some gacha games can be quite complex at times, like Limbus Company. There are a lot of mechanics and resources that you’ll need to learn in the game. One thing you’ll want to know is threadspinning and the resources that it uses. Those resources are a pain to get so you’ll want to know which EGO you’ll want to threadspin to Tier 4.

In this guide, we’ll show you some of the EGOs that’s worth upgrading to Tier 4. We’ll also show you the ones you shouldn’t upgrade because it’s not just worth it! Now let’s see what the EGOs are!

Which EGO Should You Threadspin to Tier 4?

In Limbus Company the EGOs that you get from the story, characters or gacha system can all be upgraded through Threadspinning. That’s just their fancy way of saying upgrading an EGO, much like how you can upgrade Identities. When you Threadspin an EGO in the game they get more powerful as well as unlock more abilities. Not all of them are great though and it’s expensive to threadspin to Tier 4, so what are the ones you should upgrade?

Threadspinning requires a resource called threads, which is difficult to farm and come by. You can get them from mirror dungeons and missions. There are some EGOs in the game that just aren’t worth upgrading, so you should know what they are and what are the ones that you should upgrade.

Here are a list of EGOs that you should invest in if you have them:

  • Yi Sang: Sunshower – Gains 5 more power and gets 2 more slots to target which will turn it into one of the three 7-target EGOs in the game.
  • Faust: Hex Nail – When upgraded it now inflicts nails and deals additional damage to cursed targets.
  • Ryoshu: 4th Match Flame – Becomes an AOE and deals 5% more damage for every burn on targets.
  • Ryoshu: Red Eyes – Inflicts slash fragility and becomes an AOE EGO.
  • Ishmael: Ardor Blossom Star – An already powerful EGO that now becomes AOE, also inflicts more burn.
  • Rodion: Rime Shank – Makes it so in hit you inflict +5 Sinking Count and he Corrosion becomes AOE and inflicts 10 Sinking and 8 Sinking Count.

As you can see there’s not a lot of them out there for you to prioritize. Here are the EGOs that you can invest but they don’t get any major upgrades.

  • Faust: Fluid Sac – Heals 10 more SP if landing on heads.
  • Don Quixote: Teltepole – An already good ego that is upgraded to now be AOE.
  • Ryoshu: Forest For The Flames – Inflicts one more fragile next turn and gets more power.
  • Ryoshu: Red Eyes (Open) – Gains power and damage, not as great as the normal Red Eyes.
  • Meursault: Pursuance – Makes it AOE. Corrosion version remains the same.
  • Meursault: Capote – Gains 10 power, inflicts more burn in general. The Burst also now staggers. The Corrosion version becomes an AOE.
  • Heathcliff: Bodysack – Gains 2 more Attack Power Up.
  • Outis: Ebony Stem – It changes to a seven target, making the already good EGO better.
  • Outis: Sunshower – It gains more on the effects it inflicts and gains an additional target slot.

That’s a bigger list of EGOs that you can go for. It’s safe to say that any EGO outside these two lists is in a lower priority. Mainly because most of them don’t get enough of an upgrade to offset the thread consumption. If you’re stuck with EGOs outside of these lists though there are a lot of them that you should avoid upgrading, since they get little to no meaningful upgrade:

  • All the Starter EGOs (except for Ryoshu’s and Heathcliff’s)
  • Yi Sang – Dimension Shredder
  • Meursault– You Want To Get Beat?
  • Hong Lu – Dimension Shredder
  • Heathcliff – Telepole
  • Ishmael – Roseate Desire
  • Sinclair – Impending Day
  • Gregor – AEDD
