Live A Live: Where To Find The Snacks For The Kids

Live A Live is actually a game made in 1994 and has recently been remastered for the Nintendo Switch. It has a few minor changes but it still follows the quest design of that time, which can sometimes be very confusing. I’ve played my fair share of point-and-click adventure games from that time, and these games are willing to bend time and space to make the most convoluted quests there are. Let’s find out where to find the snacks for the kids.

Where To Find The Snacks For The Kids In Live A Live

I’ve never known how to pronounce the game’s name, and I probably never will, just like the chance you’ll do this quest on your first playthrough. Games in that time do not care if you finish a quest or not, if you miss a quest then you better start a new playthrough if you want to do it.

This quest is in the “Near Future” Chapter where you tuck the children to bed. You can easily just progress the story here the day will end and the children will not have their snacks. We can’t have that.

The first chance you get, go out of the orphanage and go to the park. There you will see a food stand.

When you talk to the owner, he’ll ask you to give him a hand with the stall. Go ahead and accept it and you’ll be manning the stand with him. Your job is to set the price of the food, if you’ve played Recettear this might fire up some memories like what it did to me. Sadly, you can’t haggle for a ludicrous markup.

Random people will then go to the stall and ask the price. Depending on the person and the price you gave, you’ll get a reward of an item. What we need are snacks. What we need is a Taiyaki, a Banana Crepe, a Misawa Special and a Guts & Glory Special.

Live A Life: Customer and Price Guide

Here are the items you can get with the correct customer and price:

  • Blonde Woman – 300 Yen will give you a Banana Crepe, 1000 Yen will give you a Guts & Glory Special.
  • Young Boy – 100 Yen will get you a Taiyaki, 300 Yen will give you a Banana Crepe.
  • Man – 1000 Yen will give you a Guts & Glory Special, 10000 will give you a Misawa Special.
  • Old Man – 100 Yen will get you a Taiyaki and 10000 yen will give you a Misawa Special.

Once you’ve gotten all that you need you can head back to the Orphanage. Kazu will be there in the sandbox, clearly skipping bedtime. As a reward for that give him his Guts and Glory Special.

Now go to where the beds are. Yuki will be on the top-left bed. Give her Misawa Special. Aki is in the top right bed and you should give him his Taiyaki. Lastly, Watanabe is on the bottom-left bed and he wants the Banana Crepe.

Good work, Congratulations! Snacks have been delivered!
