MultiVersus: How To Beat The Taz Spin

Moves in fighting games where it requires you to get close to the enemy to get hit can be annoying, especially in games where there is a lot of movement like in platform fighters. The Taz spin can be that move, annoying to counter and easy to spam with no cooldown at all. It can also move around, making the auto-hit feature of the ability even stronger. In this guide, we’ll show you some tips and tricks on how to beat that dastardly spin!

How To Beat The Taz Spin In MultiVersus

First, what is the Taz Spin? It’s a move where the Tasmanian Devil does a spin move and when you make contact with it you get hit. Once the move is made a small spin icon shows on top of him to show how long the spin will last.

The main problem with dealing with this move is that it’s an attack that auto hits anything it touches as well it can move around while doing so.

Strategies

The best way of getting out of the attack is actually dodging toward the player using it, since most people expect you to run away from an attack and reposition for a strike. The problem with running away is that they can still give chase, if you dodge towards them there’s a chance, they’ll continue in the opposite way thinking of chasing a fleeing enemy.

Another way to deal with this move is to counter it with your own attack. It needs some practice but you can actually outrange the spin since its range is the character itself. Even melee characters like Wonder Woman land solid hits with the right timing. Combine your dodges and jumps with attacks and with a little bit of practice, you can easily counter the spin this way.

There’s also the simplest way of doing it. Just throw things at Taz, ranged characters like Tom and Jerry or even the sandwich throw with Shaggy can hit Taz and stop the move.

Now, this isn’t a counter per se but the Iron giant can actually tank the spin easily, you still get damaged but you won’t get knocked back. So, you can easily swing back to attack!

Conclusion

The move itself is very controversial and can be your worst nightmare when you’ve just started. Some people have voiced their complaints online since the Alpha tests of the game. They have commented on how broken this move is, and it seems like there’s no view of it changing soon. My advice is to learn the timing and counter it with ranged attacks. This seems like the best way of dealing with it.
