The highly anticipated platform fighter that spent a lot of time in early access, MultiVersus, recently got its full release, and it’s still admittedly a bit rough around the edges. Luckily, the developers have confirmed that huge changes are coming eventually, though there is still no set timeline for them. So, let’s quickly go through the stuff that has been teased recently.
Upcoming Major Patch Guide & Info
Before we go through the stuff that has been revealed online, it should be noted once more that there is no set timeline for any of the changes about to be mentioned here. All we know is that they are going to come eventually.
With that out of the way, the first major change that will come in a future patch will be the addition of new rifts that will help with the unlocking process for Agent Smith.
For more information about the potential release of that character, we have a more in-depth guide on how to unlock Agent Smith for free in MultiVersus that will show you how he is acquired.
PVP-Related Changes
One potential addition that the game director has stated will be the ability to view your post game stats. This feature will show you more details of what each player has done in the match, though we are currently unsure how it will be implemented.
Another feature will be new PVP events that have their own leaderboards, as well as one for the Ranked mode. This will be the perfect addition for more competitive players, as this would mean more special rewards and potential bragging rights.
Practice Mode Change
One issue that will supposedly be addressed in a future update is the fact that you currently cannot use locked characters in the training room.
The game’s director has confirmed that this is something they are aware of and plan on fixing later on, though we have no specific date or estimate as to when the patch for this might roll out.
Needless to say, this feature will be fantastic for the whole community. This would allow you to slightly experiment with a character’s move set before deciding to fully unlock them.
Technical Fixes
Finally, the game has its fair share of technical hiccups, with some players having authentication issues. The official social media accounts of the game itself has confirmed that they are working on fixing these, among other bugs.
Since they have not given a specific timeline for any of the future updates, all of these could either come within the week or in the next few months. All we can really do is be patient and wait for more announcements.
And that is really all we know so far, as the developers have merely given us various vague references to future changes. Anyway, while you’re here, consider checking out our guide on how to quickly level up the battle pass in MultiVersus to get some sick rewards as fast as possible!
